Of course the pinion seal was bad on my truck. This went on a 2006 Dodge 1500 4 x 4. This wasn't hard to do, the hardest part about the whole job is I don't have a lift, so I was on my side or my back the whole time. Once you get the seal out, getting the new seal in is fairly easy. When you're removing the pinion nut that holds the yolk on. Observe how far that nut is on. For me I took pictures. I got it as close as I could to what the picture looked like. I also did my differential cover seal and replaced all the fluid. Figured if I'm going to do the pinion seal I might as well do everything. Also make sure to make marks on your drive shaft and on your yoke so everything goes back exactly the way you took it off. The driveshaft bolts were not hard to get off, one of them had the fear of God put into it and so I was putting everything I had to get it off. Take your time and take adequate breaks, your neck will get tired from holding it up. If you have a lift this job is that much easier.

Seal fit perfect and did not leak after installed.Easy driveway repair, pinion nut was marked and used a breaker bar to remove nut reinstalled same amount of turns to remove.

Had to replace this seal multiple times until we bought this Timken. Other seals maybe lasted a month and I read in a forum to go with Timken because the rubber is thicker and it fits better. I will definitely use this brand again in the future

Good quality seal, went in like it should. 3 months after replacement we have no leaks. Would recommend.
