We’ve been absolutely LOVING this!!! Was looking for a compost bucket for the kitchen that could handle our 3 person family but not take up counter space & keep everyone happy. Thiss is so amazing!!!! We’ve had it a few mos now- I love it’s multiple options to hang/install. It’s working perfectly as a cabinet attachment and we’ve gotten used to it quickly. It’s out of the way, easy to access, close to our other trash/recycle containers drawer, I love that the lid is multi directional & can be opened 2 diff ways. It’s super easy to keep clean, & has actually been handling containing the odor/smell amazingly!!! Its durable & seems like really great quality too & like it will last a long time. I would def buy again tho if necessary, kind of want to get another just in case we ever need it and can’t find the listing again! I buy the 2.6 gallon green superbio compost bags w handles for easy tying and they’ve been working amazing too! No falling apart w moisture, heavy duty, they fit our receptacle perfectly, easy dispense, bpi certified etc.We empty it as needed, prob every other day or so, but it’s been working like a dream! I looked for a long time for something too, & considered the countertop ones but very happy to have found this ! No problems w bugs /fruit flies either so far!!! (I guess we’ll have to wait & see how we do over the summer tho…)

I moved across country not long ago, and din't bring my metal bucket style counter compost bin with me. I decided I would get something new. It took a while and we had a glass bowl on the counter and regularly took it out. My hubby does a LOT of cooking, though, and sometimes the bowl would overflow just in the prep of 1 meal. He finally asked if we were ever going to get an actual compost bin again (oh, and he needed that bowl for cooking!). I had this in my saved for later for a while, and ordered it. We've been using it for about 2 months now, and it's great. The ease of the lid is fantastic, the fact that it hangs inside the cabinet and doesn't take up counter space is also amazing, and it holds....a lot. So much so, that if we cut onions when its nearly empty, so they're sitting there just kind of...marinating...it can get ripe far sooner than its full. But that's all good. We really do love it.We don't use the bags, we drop right into the container and wash after each emptying. 1 thing hubby didn't realize when he turned it over the first time...the lid piece isn't attached,and it fell right into the compost pile. It was a quick learning curve, though.This is easy to use, looks great, holds a lot, and is easy to clean. I highly, highly recommend it.

I've had this for a little over a year and it's time I replace it. This is generally a very simple and reliable trashcan that is easy to use and easy to wash.The two issues I've had are1. The cavity for the bench scraper has holes that open into the inside of the trashcan lid. This means moisture will collect in there and mold will grow. It's VERY hard to clean the interior of the lid. This is my biggest problem with the trashcan and if you buy one I highly recommend just filling in the gaps with a gluegun or something. Honestly this trashcan doesn't even need to come with a bench scraper I'm bummed Tiyafuro decided to include this instead of a flush lid...2. After about 11 months of use one of the black hinge arms started to pop off its little plastic axle. This isn't a big problem, there's a gap in the middle of the axle piece and I am able to just wedge a little bit of plastic in there to keep the hinge arm on. Honestly besides this the hinge mechanism is very sturdy and reliable.TLDR: Good simple trashcan, but seal around the bench scraper to keep the trashcan from getting moldy.

I Like EVERYTHING about this item. Size for a single person who cooks is perfect. Easy ONE HAND OPERATION!!! Pull lid tab , which will drop lid down where it hangs , out of the way. You never touch anything except the tab!!The bags fit tightly over bin with a retaining ring holding them tight!Lid lifts up by tab and drops tightly into place.A food scrapper is stored out of sight in lid.. I never use it ,but good option for others to scrape food from plates etc.One quibble:it fits over base cabinet door but my doors are very cheap and thin so item hangs a bit loose . Could use a filler piece to tighten it up.I am a fierce critique and crap items get called out.It is pleasure to see such a well thought out and well executed design! While I was putting it together and installing it,I never once said my usual mantra? Why didn’t they do ….. or. why did they do this?I should video this product. I revel in finding useful, affordable well made products. CHECK IT OUT!

I have to separate food from trash now. This little bin is perfect. I was able to hang it from my kitchen trash can. The lid opens smoothly two different ways. No odor. Just remove the little trash bag inside and toss in the recycle bin.

Our town is beginning to collect food scraps for recycling. The Town handed out very inexpensive bins that had perforated sides and cover. After only a couple of weeks of using that bin, I realized what I really needed in a bin. The slim design of this bin is nice for reducing its footprint. The cover has two different ways you can open it, which you don't realize you need, until you begin recycling food scraps on a daily basis. The solid lid is essential for retaining odors within the bin. The lid is very easy to remove, allowing for easy placement of the compostible liners. The design also holds the liners in place. The purchase also came with accessories that I haven't fully utilized. Needless to say I am very happy with this product and would recommend it to anyone beginning to recycle food scraps!

It fits right on you drawer or cabinet. Good thing to have in the kitchen for quick disposal. So easy to pop som trash in. The top closes and the trash is not i n view. I like the color and it is just a functional thing to not have to bend down to put the trash away.

It came with a piece broken on the lid. I just glued the piece back on. It’s just too much work to return it. But other than that it’s really nice. Just the right size.
