Known for its long life, this cutter is meant to last today and make the cleanest cut into glass. Patented tap wheel gently vibrates as you roll, ensuring a score line and deep cut. An automatic oil dispensing system keeps the wheel lubricated every time you cut. The brass handle acts as a container and for durability. Angle of the wheels is 138°. This cutter fits comfortably in your pocket for use around the shop or in the field.

I had a 12mm diameter polarizer lens that needed to be sliced in half creating 2 half-circles.This thing was easy enough to wield while also managing the extremely tiny lens. No, I didn't have a jig- i only cut the one lens, and probably could have made things even easier. That said, this worked like a charm.I also 3D printed a quick protective cap- It doesn't come with one, but with a little design tweak, you can use the set-screw to hold a custom cap on. That's mostly for people like me who don't use it often. If you're a glass cutter by trade, you'll probably store this thing tip-down in a bit of cutting oil so you can grab and cut at a moments notice.

I've never cut glass before but needed something for a window restoration home project. Very rugged tool and cuts way better that I expected. I had read reviews where the oil leaked out while stored. Mine has been filled for three weeks now with no leakage. Blade remains as sharp as new after cutting about 25 panes of glass. I also like the heft and the large square cutting head that helps keeps the tool stable while cutting. Seems sort of expensive for what it is, but it's a well built quality tool. If you plan on cutting a lot of glass, this would be an excellent choice.

Decent tool, didn't necessarily prefer it to the more standard model.

I've used Fletcher cutters for some years, but the replacement cutter heads are quite expensive vs Toyo, so I tried this one and the very similar TC17 for the last two panels I made, each around 8 square feet. I bought both with a brass handle, since it's only slightly more expensive than the replacement cutter head alone. This brass cutter is a nice improvement over the Fletcher, which has a plastic body. It took me a little time to get use to the swivel action of the Toyo straight line cutter, but I honestly can't say it really affects my work. The Toyo cutters feel good in my hand and I'm happy to continue using them.Whether the wicked oiling strategy of the Fletcher cutters is better than the pushbutton strategy of the Toyo is unclear to me. They both work fine for cutting, I see no real benefit to one vs the other in action. The oil does seem to dry out of the Fletcher cutters when I leave them without use for some months, I haven't had the Toyo's long enough to see if they will retain their oil for months of non-use.The TC17VVB is supposed to chatter a little when you make a cut, improving the action vs the normal TC17. I've picked the two up at random for these two panels and truly I can't tell the difference, even with glass that was somewhat difficult to cut cleanly. And I can't really even feel the chattering, though I'm not sure I'm supposed to be able to. So while this works just as well as the TC17, you can probably save a few bucks and just get that one instead.

As a professional in the glass industry, I have found the Toyo cutter to exemplify the high standards we uphold in our daily glass scoring tasks. Its exceptional quality makes it a commendable choice for both seasoned glaziers seeking durability and newcomers desiring a valuable addition to their toolkit.

Pretty good though not as good as an old fashioned diamond tip cutter. Cuts are clean and after some initial tries it seemed to do it's job nicely. This one is the best non diamond cutter I've tried. I've tested at least three other cheaper ones. still, an old fashioned diamond tip cutter works better. There is one diamond cutter sold by Amazon. Unfortunately that one is useless in spite of the diamond tip! https://www.amazon.se/SENRISE-Glassk%C3%A4rningsredskap-diamantglassk%C3%A4rare-diamantspets-glassk%C3%A4rare/dp/B07NT63PR9/ref=sr_1_38?crid=2D72J18SV92FK&keywords=glass+cutter&qid=1665143920&qu=eyJxc2MiOiI0LjA4IiwicXNhIjoiMy45MyIsInFzcCI6IjMuNTQifQ%3D%3D&sprefix=glass+cutter%2Caps%2C84&sr=8-38

Great tool, been trying to cut some sheets of glass for my greenhouse and have been struggling with an old steel bladed cutter. This came this afternoon and have already finished the back of the greenhouse. Took a couple of cuts to get used to it but once I got there it made life really easy!
