  • Transmission Shiter Seal replacement tool kit, help to replace the seal.
  • Easy to use. In most cases, the gasket can be removed and inserted, so you don’t have to worry about removing the gearbox or lowering the gearbox.
  • Removal: Pass the tool over the shaft and screw it to the leaking seal. After the seal is engaged with the tool thread, turn it with a hexagonal bolt ,then you can remove the seal
  • Installation: Put the new gasket on the gearbox shaft, push it in with the positioning pin tool, and the installation can be completed
  • Strong steel material, includes Seal

This product can clear the leakage seal around the gearbox selector shaft mechanism through the gearbox. The operation is simple, directly removing and inserting the gasket without removing the transmission case,in most cases even without lowering the gearbox.

I recommend you clean the id of the extraction tool. Debur the leading edge too. The tool is a snug fit over the shifter shaft. It is made to screw into the seal. You will need to apply inward pressure while tuning it in. It will bottom when it's in all the way.I used a 3/8 drive wratchet and socket. Worked great. Utube video showed it being driven in with a hammer. This is not necessarily. The tool didn't need reamed out either...not sure what trans that guy was working on. I put a little grease on the jacking bolt...but probably not needed. The seal that comes with the tool is low quality. I noted the rubber ripped, even with a light coating of synthetic grease, on the seal and shaft. Ordered the AC Delco and had no problem. The AC Delco also had a better quality metal shell. The install tool was tight on the shaft too. The seal will bottom when in all the way. I used a small deadblow hammer. Used vise grips to help wiggle the install tool back off the shifter shaft. Probably should have cleaned, beburred, and greased install tool too.All in all good. I did see Napa sells the same tool for less then $10 (without seal)...however I didn't call to confirm that price.

The seal extractor is so cheap and brittle it literally crumbled into pieces when trying to extract the seal. I'm now left with a smashed seal that is still in the transmission and no way to get it out untill I f8nd another extractor. Waste of money and time.

Spent 2 hrs trying to get it to grab the seal by tapping it on. But i figured out how to use this specific one properly There's a trick with this.I used it on my 2004r. DO NOT HAMMER IT ON. Put a socket on and apply pressure while turning clockwise. You will feel it tighten and catch. don't over tighten, you will feel it catch. Once it does, screw in bolt slowly and the seal will start backing out.

It was easy to use. The price was great. Even came with the replacement seal. Could not remove seal without it. Also, no possible transmision damage. Several installation videos on line.

Bought this out of desperation. I either had to use this type of tool or drop the transmission pan. The first thing I did was notice a slight burr on the inside diameter tip and used a small half round file to remove it, this also slightly made it a sharper tip to engage the seal. Also had to file the shifter shaft to remove some rust and burr’s on it. Fit was pretty good but is does take some effort to engage on seal. The shifter seal that comes with this is cheap, so throw it away and get OEM seal. Only took 5 minutes to remove and replace once I got started. I would definitely use this again if the need arises.

Delivery was great ordered it got it the next day. Installed tool over shifter shaft and never got it into the old seal before the whole end broke off, I think the steel that the tool is made from is too brittle. Had to get the seal out piece my piece very carefully without damaging anything. The seal driver works fine you just have to be careful getting the seal in there

I was very concerned that this tool would not work based on some of the reviews. I had no problems at all. I used this tool on a 700R4 Transmission. I did take a 1/2 drill bit and slightly reamed out both the extractor and the seal installer. Both worked with out any issues. Fit perfectly on the shift rod.took less than 30 minutes to remove and install the seal. I should note that the seal that was provided was better than the seal I removed. The seal that was provided has a spring on the inside of the rubber lip to help maintain a good seal. The one that was removed did not have this spring. Probably the reason it was leaking.

Works well, seal seemed a little too tight, but doesn't seem to be leaking.

Had the same experience as others. The tool is very very cheap metal. The ends of the tool broke off in the old seal. Had to remove transmission pan and shifter shaft. The shaft is now damaged. Now I'm into it for a new shifter shaft, seal, pan gasket. Waste of time and money. Not to mention the frustration. On a positive note the tool did fit over the shaft and I decided to look more closely at the seal, the seal housing was out of round and it looked cheap. I decided to buy a better seal to avoid future problems.

Worked great ,you need to put a lot of pressure on the tool and turn it at the same time to get it to seat into the old seal

The extractor worked surprisingly well! Have yet yo test drive to verify it’s not leaking! The seal that came in the kit was questionable
