First, I have a 2020 Ram 1500 Laramie with a 6-cylinder motor. I can say upon opening this, I was extremely impressed with the welding and the manufacturing; I also liked the cost! With the installation, holding this up in place was a little cumbersome, with the tight fit, it is a little difficult to align in the proper position. My Ram 1500 Laramie has only one exhaust pipe, which is on the passenger side; and this leaves the driver’s side a bit more open for the installation. The 8-cylinder has a second exhaust pipe which is on the driver’s side and is even tighter. The installation used the two bolts from the frame and one bolt which was supplied, I simply had to tighten the three bolts. I used a 1/2" ratchet and a 5-point socket, these are major bolts and are very tight. After installing this, I really like how it fits, the step is also hidden from eye view. I would suggest this to anyone who has a 2020 Ram 1500 Laramie 5th generation with a 6-cylinder motor (this model only has one exhaust pipe on the passenger side). It was an easy installation and fits good!

Truck step is weak. Metal bends when you step on it and the arm wants to fold back up under the teuck when stepping down to the ground making you lose footing. Doesn't function well at all.

The dealer wants $500 for this same part! Save hundreds and do it yourself! Only problems were the shipping was canceled and returned by the shipper on the first order due to damaged packaging and product. Had to reorder again, this one arrived in Amazon shipping but internal manufacturer's box inside was destroyed. Product was good though. Instructions didn't cover the correct wiring connector and it took some research to figure out how to unlock and remove it. Instructions need to include that must be careful to ensure the front (toe) of step is not inside bumper, as that happened when twisting and turning to get it in place.

It doesn't fit correctly. Bolts on the frame crooked and rubs the rear backup sensor! Obviously, these are not OEM.n

This product is exactly as described. It was an easy install, and it does everything it's supposed to do. No issues with the quality or fit.

Bolted right on. Instructions were ripped and not much use. See picture. Utube will be better to follow. You will need to cut out plastic( under bumper) for step to retract fully. Might be different if it’s a chrome bumper? Really helpful to get up on my tailgate now. would recommend.
