as others have pointed out its kind of small but it works great or at least better than the little brass front bead sight, my old eye are starting to have some trouble picking up the front sight on some firearms and this helps a lot and i think once i mount a flashlight it should stand out even at night, it did take a few strokes with a file to get the threads short enough so they don't extend down into the barrel, file a little at a time and test fit as you go and add a drop of loctite and call it good.

Looks great. Functions great. A very nice upgrade over standard brass bead on a Moss 500.The stud is too long. You will need to file the length down and clean the threads up. I also has to file a little on the face to get the orientation correct. If this is something you don't mind doing (took about 3 min with a mini vise and a 3 dollar set of needle files from harbor freight) for the price of this product it's a very decent upgrade. Can't beat the price. I can't comment if others are a better buy or are more precise on the install since this is the first direct thread in front sight I have upgraded vs something like dovetails on pistols. I know this kit comes in a universal kit with multi threads also so might be just a 1 size fits all option to save on cost.

I installed this (2.6mm) on a Stoeger P3000. From the factory it came with a big fat bead. It gathered light well, and kind of was in the way. Somehow the fiber got broken giving me an opportunity to install this smaller Truglo bead.Love it! Not the brightest sight, but easy to pick up without covering what you want to see.

Seems to be a decent bead sight. Looks like the fiber optic will stay in place, would have been nice to install it the day I got it but was sent the wrong sight the package was not a 5-40 like I ordered the label on the back is correct for a Mossberg 500 but the front and SKU shows it's for a Benelli, Stoeger. So guess I'll have to wait to see how the sight actually works later.

Fit perfectly on my Winchester SX3. Filled the threads with blue thread locker, and tightened lightly to make parallel with the rib. Will revisit the review if durability issues arise from abuse in a blind. Seems bright enough and not too large to distract from target

This sight is well built and fairly easy to install. I ordered a sight to fit a Mossberg 590 shotgun. The package I received stated it was for a Mossberg 590. When I opened the package and tried to install the sight on my Mossberg 590 it wouldn't fit. I tried it on one of my Ithaca 37 shotguns and it fit, so not a total waste. It appears that the sight was marked incorrectly from the company of manufacture.

I got this sight since it was so cheap and was a quick screw on to my Mossberg. The 5-40 thread is the correct one and you will have to file it down somewhat so it doesn't protrude into the barrel. I used locktite to make sure it wouldn't back out after shooting and I haven't had a single issue. Shot around 60 rounds through it and the sight never budged. Definitely better than the original brass bead site. Although the setup is a little finicky with all the steps I still give it 5 stars since the package doesn't say anything about mossberg.

Threads were perfect for the 391, except that as in all threaded items, when straight, it is not at it's tightest point. Loctite was used to keep it parallel.

Not really got the light collecting abilities of some of it's slightly brothers. There is a slightly more extended version that is much more obvious then this one
