Wasn't sure how this could work any better than just buzzing into your mouthpiece, but was I surprised!I've done the normal buzzing we all have, and my issue always was never being able to "find" a staff C or a G (or whatever note), much less anything higher up the scale unless I had my tuner. I could then find pitch, and go from there.Once I put this in the lead pipe, and held my horn up it was very natural. I could immediately buzz any note I wanted, and it was there. Holding the horn gives you the normal"feel" of playing and everything falls into place. A quick flip of the device, and your mouthpiece is in and you are centered on pitch.This will be a nice addition to my warmup, or practice routine.Thanks KGU Brass!

James Stamp literally wrote the book on mouthpiece practice, and I've been using his exercises since the '80s with good results. The Trumpet Embouchure trainer allows us to buzz the mouthpiece with the trumpet, ensuring that the angle against our lips is identical to that when playing the trumpet. It is easy to quickly switch to having the mouthpiece shank in the instrument to check pitch and back again. It doesn't fit all mouthpiece blanks but is no problem with a standard Bach or Yamaha mouthpiece.Good value for an excellent practice aid.

This is a lot more convenient to use than the berp. This does not require you to attach it to your lead pipe. Simply insert into lead pipe and use the other hole for your mouthpiece and buzz. Nice design as well.
