This product performs as well as expected but I was disappointed that mine came with a fiberglass handle instead of wood. Instead of a friction fit, he fiberglass handle relies on a rubber stopper to hold the blade in place. There is a metal rivet that would stop the blade if it came off the rubber stopper. The reason it matters to me is that I sharpen my garden tools. The angle of the blade is such that it is difficult to sharpen while affixed to the fiberglass handle. With a wooden handle I could easily remove the blade for sharpening. On a positive note, the weight and size of the blade are perfect for me.

Stout, sturdy, and the first tool I grab on my way to the garden. Dig, weed, till, make trenches, mounds, or holes for plants. This is a very versatile tool, however... I am 6 foot 2 inches and can wield it easily, while my wife is average height and prefers lighter tools. By the way, I did manage to break the head on my first one... foolishly tried to use it to pry on a thick root... full grown man on a 5 foot lever (handle) snapped the metal. No question, I intend to purchase more in the future.... suggestion though - a little sandpaper makes the handle much nicer.
