Needed to turn on some extra fans to circulate hot air when a smallish space heater (gas) was running. Ran a signal from the internal fan to the coil and ran power and fan loads to the contacts. Fun little project. But you should know that the coil on this package is on pins 1-8, while on most of the others that I've tripped over in the wild these are on on pins 2-7 (as is the inner terminals vs the outer terminals on the socket.) This is important if this relay eventually fails and somebody just plugs in any ol part without checking and verifying.

Unless you are using this by itself and wiring the base, it is ok but for a replacement in existing equipment this will not work!Coil is on pins 1 and 8. Standard cube relays have the coil on pins 2 and 7.Pins 1 and 8 are the common connections for the two sets of contracts in a normal cube relay. Don’t know why they would change it!If this was plugged into a 24vdc circuit on an existing relay base and those common terminals just happened to be on opposite 120v phases this would go up in smoke very fast!

This was going to be the perfect relay. I actually noticed the pins do not layout as typical relays but then there was an additional problem.This relay is a 250 volt relay that can handle a 7 amp draw.The BASE can only handle a 5 amp draw.My load is a bit over 5 amps and runs for extended periods so over time is will over heat the base.What a complete waste of money. At least it was not that expensive. No where in the pictures or description does it say the base has a lower rating. I imagine for most people it is not a problem.Since it is not a quick swap with other relays and the ratings do not match I am going with two stars.
