Exact fit for my 99 Blazer. Works exactly as it should at a decent price.

Similar to the Spectra it is not rounded on the bottom like the OEM heater core in a 2003 Chevy S10 Xtreme 4.3L manual transmission. The heater housing in my Xtreme is rounded on the bottom, this heater core has more of a rounded shape than the Spectra brand but still doesn't fit properly. I could make it fit but forcing the heater core housing lid down and putting the screws in but won't even be able to put the foam on it. It is nice that it comes with foam tape to put on it but I'm not taking the chance on breaking the 18 year old plastic lid to make it fit, that'd just be asking for problems. It is a well built heater core for a budget price but if you have a 2003 S10 Xtreme then it's up to you if you want to make it fit. Now I'm having to wait another 3 days to receive the GM Genuine heater core 1560087 after already having to do a return on the Spectra core as it definitely wasn't going to fit. I'm sure it will work for some S10 models/years but it's not good enough fit for me to use it. I'm sure the 1560087 will fit as it's the OEM heater core that came stock in my truck. The process of getting to the heater core housing wasn't as bad as most people/videos make it out to be, I just ended up taking the whole dash out so I have full access to the firewall. While I've got it out I've been re-taping all the wiring with Tesa cloth tape and cleaned up the dash and firewall. I've also been removing all the foam tape insulation on the dash and core housing to replace it with new which is very easy with the dash out as there's only a handful of screws to remove the entire duct work assembly from backside of the dash. Good luck to anybody doing this replacement and I hope my review helps some people out. I would definitely suggest removing your heater core and/or core housing to to see if the bottom of the housing is more rounded like mine. I included pics of the OEM, Spectra and TYC brand heater cores. OEM has the brown foam tape on it, Spectra has the gray foam tape that I installed on it and the TYC has no foam tape on it. You should clearly be able to see the difference of the cores, I didn't take a pic of the bottom of my heater core housing because you probably wouldn't be able to really see how it's rounded in a 03' S10 Xtreme 4.3L manual transmission. Maybe the automatic is different but I'm not sure, I highly suggest using Rockauto.com just to verify which heater core might work for your specific S10 model. Amazon has about the same price in the end as Rockauto.

Fit my 2002 s10 blazer perfectly and even came with the adhesive padding needed to fit it in place snug so it didn't rattle at all. Popped in just like the OEM part for a fraction of the cost.

Still works to this day. PITA to install it, but it is doing what it is supposed to do. Would buy again!

Looked good quality. 10+ hours to swap it just to find out it leaked. Not happy and I'm not sending it back because I refuse to take it back out right now and waste another 10+ hrs putting a new one in.
