I think this is a nice set of four hook and loop closure, clear fishing lure covers. I really like these particular covers because they're clear and it allows me to see how I have the rod rigged without needing to remove the cover. These are fastened by hook and loop material and seem to stay securely in place until I remove them. I generally use them folded flat in half as I have it in the second picture but I can also roll them up tube style if I'm going to be using them with a rod sleeve. These covers work great to: keep your hooks from tangling with other hooks, lines, or rods; keep hooks for snagging people or pets; keeps hooks from snagging inside vehicles during transport. I think these are a great item and I use them anytime I have a rod that's not in use but left rigged with hooks. I think these are a good value.

I got these because my husband, who loves to fish, tends to leave hooks and lures around, out in the open, where they should not be left, like the kitchen table. He always watches out that the dogs and cat cannot get to them, but doesn’t seem to care that he leaves them where my clumsy self can. I can’t tell you how many times I have been snagged by his hooks and lures. I decided to order these for my safety, and they work wonderfully! I had no clue what size to get, but it didn’t matter. The lighter colored one in the picture is 8†long and by putting 2 of the holders together it easily fit inside. The plastic is thick enough that unless I sit on one, and I have never done that, I will not get stabbed by a hook if he leaves it on the table. They are completely reusable and stay closed until you open them. The only problem is, now he only has 3 since he put 2 together, and he has so many lures! At $8.99 for only 4, I can’t afford enough of them to cover all those nasty, biting hooks. If you are a fishing fanatic like my husband, leave your lures out in common spaces, and have extra money to spend, I highly recommend this high quality, functional product!

I have used just storage bads to hold pre-assembled tackle. These work great for storing and carring in my tackle boxes.
