The matchdot II is part of the new ultradot 6 Series. It picks up where the original matchdot left off. Built for serious competitors, the new and improved sight has 4 dot sizes (2,4,6 and 8 MOA) plus two reticle patterns for added flexibility. Elevation adjustments can be made "on the fly" with our new bullet drop Compensator knob and the all black finish is as rugged as it looks. The following accessories are included: mounting rings, lens covers, tube extension, hex wrench, polarizing filter and battery.

After going through five different red dots this is the best I have found and not even the most expensive. It has an adjustable MOA. 2 through 8. For target shooting competition you need a 2. We shoot off hand at 50' and an moa of 8 covers way too much of the target. With a 2 you can refine your sight to just the bullseye. It is very easy to adjust and it is easy to shut off and turn on and the illumination has a large range of brightness. You may buy another sight, but save yourself the time and start here if you are target shooting.

I am a competition shooter and use this for bullseye. This IS the brand to buy if you shoot competition-high quality and it predominates the market for top shooters. I ended up returning it because the red dot was not clear. NO, it was not an eye issue but lense coating issue during production. 1-you can see the different reticles pasted with a frame which is distraction. 2-with one reticle there is an additional red dot at 10:00 that is super distracting.I am not sure who the supplier is but you can order direct from Ultradot. I recommend doing this as there is not a price difference/they will match it. Otherwise, buy from Larry's Guns or Bullseye Gear.

Finally getting corrective lens's for my astigmatism made red dots an option. Putting an Ultradot on my S&W 629 Stealth Hunter helped bring out the performance the gun is capable of. Love the adjustable brightness and multiple dots. Scope was very easy to sight in and right on target. Went from one big target to a backing of the same size with 5 smaller targets on it. What a difference. Didn't notice that the scope moved at all. Have worked up multiple loads from cap gun 44 specials to 240 grain Nosler hunting rounds at full speed. Love this scope. Wish my old elbow could take the recoil like my Ultradot does.IF, Match dot was to make one change it should be making the windage knob of the same style as the elevation knob. I'm definitely going to lose that cap.Aim small - Aim Smaller with a Matchdot Ultradot

This is a great scope that is easy to use.. it’s light weight. I plan to order another for my Smith & Wesson.

High quality. Very well made. Everything works as it should. But, it has features you may never use . Consider before you buy. Fewer features = much lower cost, just as good quality.

I have one on my .45 and order this one for my .22 to keep sight picture and everything consistent. I really like the multiple dot sizes which allowed me to experiment and pick the one I like most. The quick adjustment on elevation is great for the .45, but not really needed on the .22 since POA/poi is the same at 50yds to 25yds. I haven't had any issue with the stock rings either after over two years on my .45.
