I live in the sticks and have mice problems in the garage and shed but most problematic are the mice that get under the hood of my car and chew, well, everything: the soft foam insulation that sits right over the engine (you know, when the hood is closed), and wires. After a $4,000 car repair bill (insurance thankfully covered most of that), I just had to do something beyond spraying peppermint oil under the hood.I bought this product and I also bought some quality Velcro. I also bought a few Panasonic Eneloop rechargeable AA batteries (these work great in severe heat and severe cold). Using the Velcro, I mounted this product in a place under the hood that was out of the way of the hottest places under the hood. I mounted this product right on the actual car battery.Verdict? I haven’t had one single nibble now for six months. I have even been bold enough to replace the foam under-hood insulation. After several months, not one bite has been taken from this insulation.Know that I do replace the batteries RELIGIOUSLY every 30 days or so. They could probably go 40-45 days. All this might seem like a lot of fuss but let me tell you, a couple minutes putting batteries in and the simple Velcro mounting, I no longer ever have to think one bit about mouse damage. It feels so good.Oh, it’s not totally waterproof apparently but mine is mounted sorta high up in the engine bay and I’ve never had a problem in rain, snow, and automatic car washes.I say try it and be committed to regular battery change and this thing may take your worries away.UPDATE, March 2024: I still have not had one single rodent-related issue. Zero evidence. Not a bite taken, no droppings, nothing. Also the Eneloop AA batteries I mention above are rock solid and hold a charge as if they were new. And we have 100+ summer and -20 degree winter temps where we live. What I thought was a bit silly (a box that emits sounds to repel rodents, yeah right!) has turned out to be the answer for me.UPDATE, Feb 2025: All is going perfectly. I have four or five of these and all are still working fine. The Panasonic Eneloop batteries are amazing. With no mice, I’ve now bothered to really clean the shed so it looks pristine. Garage, too. Feels like I could stop using these things but haha I’m not quite ready for that. But it’s all good.

I have two of the Angveirt Ultra Sonic Rodent Prevention Repellent devices, one in a car port and the other inside one of my cars. Both areas had frequent and repeated mouse issues that I could not solve with cleaning or essential oils (which work but only for a few days). Since I stated using the two Angveirt devices, the mice have been kept away!

(July 30, 2020) I just spent $172 today to repair damage to wires in my car. I've had mice wreaking havoc in my car (we live in a wooded area and we do not have a garage). This rodent repeller is definitely simple to use. It is easy to see that it is on, and is easy to turn on or off if need be, and there is a battery indicator that should tell me when I need to replace batteries. I have placed one in my trunk, where the mice chewed wires, and am about to order another to put in the passenger area of the car, where the mouse had been tearing up stuff to make a bed. We have used sprays and sachets, but I cannot tolerate the smell of those. Will update if I see any evidence of mice returning. The product description says the batteries should last 45 days if running 24 hrs/day. I will update to let you know if this is true as well. ** Update: (Aug 16, 2020). I have not seen any sign of mice inside my car since I put this in. I did attach the second one to the handle above the back passenger door since I know there had been a mouse before up in the roof (I could hear her running around, plus there had been torn up tissues she had taken for nesting material). This seems to be working well (so far, so good). Of course, I have to remember to turn it off before I drive so I'm not having flashing lights emitting from my car, but it is easy to reach and I'm already in the habit. I've not had to replace batteries on either unit yet, and the trunk one is always on. Update (09/17/2020) I did have to replace batteries on both units a little after the 45-day mark. I've still had no evidence of mice in my car. My husband has been using some stinky mouse repellent spray and sachets for his car, and even though they reek, he still has fresh mouse poop in his car every morning. So we recently ordered 2 units for my husband's car now that we've seen that they appear to be working in mine. We had difficulty with the battery compartment of one of the units, and I contacted the company's customer service dept by email, and they sent a new unit straight out. I have zero complaints about them. Update (01/11/2021) -- Well... now that it's winter, I have seen evidence of a mouse at least passing through my car at night. The repeller will not keep them from coming in (same for the in-house kind), but I think it does make them not want to stay. I have not found any nests or any mouse poop in my car, but I can tell that a mouse came through and took a tissue with her, as there were a few tiny pieces of tissue on the back seat.

If this product had been manufactured correctly it might have been great. The battery slot in the center of the device was manufactured such that on three of the four I got the battery would not slide into the slot. On the fourth one, I was able to jam in the battery so that it fully seated, and when seated the device did work (long enough to test, anyway) but then required pliers and substantial effort to get the battery back out! NO THANKS!!). It is so sad, design a product that might work well and then manufacture it so poorly (cheaply?) that it doesn’t.

Easy to use. Used it under my kitchen sink and the next cupboard where the dishwasher drain goes down. Since the cupboards close, never had them in the house but they would raid my trash which I kept under the sink. This started about 2months after my cat died. My cat did nothing to them but I have heard they can smell the cat. After a thorough cleaning and using these repellents, no more mouse droppings. I can’t hear the sound or see the light where they are placed. Would recommend .

Ok I can’t say this device is what did it, but I put this in my camper when we closed it up over winter and we had no rodent issues!Versatile, you can put it anywhere, I put it in the kitchen area. Take batteries and is easy to use, once a month I would stop out and replace the batteries- although I think I could have stretched that to every other month.Totally worth it for the money, I will use it again next year.

I was very sceptical ordering the rodent deterrent we have a very bad issue outside with rats and getting into the engine bay, it's been a month and no more sign of rat poop, I find the product is most effective at the very front inside the engine bay facing the light and speaker towards the engine
