Impressively light weight, sharp enough to go through sod and small roots, easy packing size. It goes on every trip.

Gets the job done like any other competing shovels but for half the cost. I wrapped my handle with 1/4†rope to give it a better grip. Worth the buy

Trowel is great. Lightweight, Saturday, dug into hard dirt no prob. The sides digging into tough dirt can feel sharp/edgy, a little uncomfortable, but not sharp enough to cut you hand or hurt.

So, I had the chance to compare all three. Bottom line: I ended up keeping the Deuce for a variety of reasons. Why?Well, backstory. The reason I purchased this was to have a lighter and stronger version of the Deuce, which I like. I've had some issues using the deuce to dig in firmer ground, however I realize now that I was using it wrong. You are supposed to flip it over and penetrate the ground with the handle piece. With that being said...I compared all three by attempting to dig cat holes in somewhat dry and hard ground. I used the Naceture Titanium, however, it's a lot thicker than I was expecting. It's the thickest of all three, and therefore it does not penetrate the ground well at all. It ended up hurting my fairly large hands. The side saw teeth are fairly sharp, though not as sharp as the Dig Dig. The DD penetrated the ground the best, however the inner edges of the handle are sharp-ish and could potentially cut/hurt your hands. I feel that one really doesn't need another angel of potential injury when out in the backcountry, or, really anywhere. Plus, when you need to take a number 2, you really don't want to be hurting your hands as you dig a cat hole. lol.The Naceture is extremely thick for being Titanium. I wonder if they even designed their product to be used the way the Deuce is meant to be used. But either way you use it, it's difficult and would be greatly improved if they could make it as thin as the deuce or dd. For now, I am sticking to my #2 and will use it as it was designed to be used!
