The insulation on this wire is good enough that I didn't feel the need to bury it. In my context, I'm installing along an existing physical fence which my dog can climb, and it encloses a huge area (farm setting, we're talking acres here). I just zip-tie the insulated radio wire up along the fence where it can't take damage from weed-eaters. This makes installation super fast. Only where it dips under the driveway did it need to go underground, and there it snakes through a culvert so there's still no burial involved. The 500' spool isn't enough for the full perimeter of this area, but I already had a 1000' spool and needed an extension, and this was great for that.It isn't the biggest wire out there and if I were trying to enclose a bigger pasture then I think I would opt for a larger gauge than 22. It does the job, though, and the price is fair relative to similar spools out there.

This wire is like dental floss, I opened it and started installing it but the wire immediately was stuck inside the spool, had to cut it eventually after 20 feet we gave up and used a better thicker wire we also ordered on amazon, glad we did because I dont think this thin cheap wire would last a year.

Perfect! Works perfectly. I didn't use it for the traditional invisible fence but used it with the Petsafe pawz away rock pet barrier. Attached it to the external ports on the rock, and went down my fence bottom, up the side and back around the top and back down to the rock. Worked perfectly. Now I don't have to worry about my dog running the fence line with the neighbors dog, tearing up my yard and digging a trench in the fence line from constant running! Thanks!

It's a spool of wire. I mean it does what it says. It's as described. It's solid copper wire with the yellow insulation on it. It seems to be working. I haven't had any troubles with it. It doesn't break easily. I mean it's. It's what you expect from wire this size and style
