Oh I love this cookie 'jar' so much! It's the coolest thing in today's Tech world. It's not dishwasher safe, but how often will it need washing really? For the most part the kids will lick the crumbs out from the bottom. You must see this in person to fully appreciate how neat it is. It is short and fat which is the perfect shape for a cookie jar. Yes, the dimensions are on the webpage, but I'm a visual person, So when it says 8x8 &1/2, that means nothing to me. And the pictures are very misleading when it comes to the size of the cookie jar, because it depicts it as being taller and narrower then it is. As I said, it is short and fat. And it looks good that way. With the silicone seal on the lid you do get an airtight seal, but that makes it difficult to take on and off easily. And if the lid just sat down on the rim of the jar, no air is getting in there that way is it? So make your life a little easier and just remove the gasket that's on the lid. It's not glued on there or anything. That way you don't have to wrestle with getting the lid off every time you want to sneak a cookie. Oh, by the way, it's also a great spot to hide your Ding Dongs and Ho Hos! You don't want the kids gettin at those! im jus sayin...

Cute cookies jar. Great gift for your computer geek. But not just for cookies. The jar is good sized with a nice enamel finish that will hold up well to wear. No odor transfer if you change out what you store n it. Polished chrome rim and handle add a touch of interest. The air tight seal keeps your items fresh. Use on a desk to store power cords and miscellaneous.

This canister would be good for any size cookies or other snacks. The front design looks as if you have the choice of selecting whether you want cookies or not via the use of a mouse/cursor. It’s white, with the trim of the canister and the handle in silver.The description states that the lid is airtight… it is not. The handle is wobbly and there is no fixing it, not even if you try to tighten the screws. The lid really just sits on top of the canister and that does not allow for keeping cookies fresh.I would not recommend this item and I feel that it would be better priced in the $13.99 range.

This is a very cute cookie jar. The lid fits firm on top and I have had cookies in it since day one and they remained fresh for about a month until they all were gone. I am thinking now to keep my dog bones in them since I know it does do what the seller said. Good price for such a unique jar.

This cookie jar is super cute. It arrived in perfect condition. It's a bit bigger than I expected.It is airtight. I have to wrap an arm around it and use the other arm on the lid to break the seal (when it's empty) because it's too big to hold onto with one hand. Full of brownies, I was able to take the lid off one handed.I did hand wash it, not sure what the instructions were, but it doesn't get that dirty and didn't want to chance it getting scratched or dented in the dishwasher.

This is such a cute cookie container. My husband is a computer guy so we always appreciate good computer humor around here and this cookie tin is perfect. It's metal and has a nice tight fitting lid, and it's a good size! I also love the minimal black and white design. And it's hilarious and clever. Love it!
