Requirements for installation vehicles:

1. For cars, the original vehicle does not have the ISOFIX interface

2. The back of the car seat can be lowered forward

3. There is a gap between the back of the car and the seat cushion and it is not closed

Note: This universal isofix is suitable for cars with seat height lower than the trunk, snug to the trunk or seat height higher than the trunk (visually less than 5 cm). The following models cannot install the ISOFIX interface brackets: The trunk is closed and the rear seats cannot be lowered.

I drive a 2001 4Runner, which is too old to have the anchors, and my car seat base was wiggling too much for comfort using only the seatbelt for install. I installed this bracket through the backside of the seat, and also used the seatbelt (allowed by the manufacturer), and the car seat base is rock solid. Very grateful.We’re ready to have a baby!

I could not get it to work on my truck's backseat, because you have to hold it on place while strapping it up and such.Would probably work on a vehicle where you can hold it to the back of the seat while putting it on and strapping it in. Like a station wagon, or an open trunk SUV type vehicle.
