Setup was truly straightforward, you build the base by attaching it to the riser pillar, and then the crossbars, then follow the rest of the pictures in how to attach vertical rails to your tv, and then hang everything on the crossbars, so tv can slide left to right on the crossbar if needed before tightening down the retention screws. All bolts and screws, more than needed, washers and wrenches, even the rubber feet and cord management do-hickey that stick onto the structure are included. Appearance is nice, all you see from the front is the mirrored black glass baseplate. Swivel hinges on crossbar allow smooth side to side swivel but no vertical swivel (minus one star) to angle screen up or down. I do wish the writers of the instructions had included some narration to go along with the pictures, but follow the pictures carefully, matching each part to its corresponding letter on the parts list so you don't confuse them (there will be spare parts when done), and setup is pretty fast unless you use the wrong part and have to disassemble and reassemble. Would it support more than 88 lbs, probably no structural issue, the tv stand is sturdy when assembled, but its going to be pretty top heavy in terms of potential tip over with more than the design capacity hanging on it.
