My kenmore 80 series dryer stopped heating up. I thought it was the heat element but it wasn’t. I changed all the parts that came in this kit which were super easy to install. Turned on my dryer after installation and it’s heating up again! Yay! This saved me from having to purchase a new dryer! 😅

The safety thermostat switch can fit a whirpool WED7500vw0 model with a caveat: one has to trim the metal plate, remove the golden extension arm and file down the space between the housing and the plate so that the piece can be fastened using the original clamp.Afterwards I tested it in an oven to make sure the switch opens at around 220F, same as the oem replacement part.So far it has been working without any issues but beware that making such changes may affect its range of operation.

My 10 year old Kenmore dryer would shut down 3 or 4 time during a load. I replaced the "3977767 High Limit Thermostat" The dryer has now run thru 2 loads with no issues. Very easy repair on a simple machine, no SMART features that would make a DIY project impossible. Fingers crossed I have no issues soon as I will have jinked myself with this review. $12 kit save a $500 replacement. $12, you have nothing to lose.

My dryer works better now than it did before it broke. For $30 I fixed it myself with a YouTube video. Saved about $500 and time waiting for parts on having a repair man come. ðŸ‘ðŸ»ðŸ‘ðŸ»
