For me, they are a little too thin to hammer into drywall directly. I like to make a slot in the drywall with a thin blade knife first. Then they drive in just fine, and work well.

I’m planning to use them to secure my IKEA Stolmen closet pole to the ceiling. They look similar to the original anchors.

I have used these for multiple projects through the house and it’s probably user error when they don’t install smoothly. I drill a small pilot hole and then use a hammer to pound them in. I end up holding them between my fingers for stability and hope that the wings don’t bend out of shape. They are very durable when installed correctly.

These were difficult to hammer into the wall, several bent before I could successfully get 2 in for a modest sized shelf. Then the screws would not go all the way in.
