Really like this product. I bought it for my 2013 Tacoma. Dope heads are stealing tail gates like crazy. I already had done the washer mod and had a hose clamp installed but this is way more secure. I bought red so it stands out and Mr. Meth can move on to an easier target. It is a bit difficult to install but once on it really secures the tail gate. Im a retired LEO and recommend this product!

We bought this because our tailgate had previously been stolen. We installed this on our new tailgater and it was pretty easy.

I tried instructions and you tube videos and I can't seem to get it to fit . I don't wanna modify anything. It should work right out the box . Especially if its 36 dollars for a 2 dollar part . Theres way better options out there at a cheaper price.UPDATE.I purchased a part from Tacoma world. His is a heavy metal part that fits perfectly. MUCH BETTER than this junk.

Installed it in 5 minutes and covered the screw head area with putty for extra protection. Simple theft deterrent
