I got this water dispenser because my 14yo recently adopted doggo kept "dry land drowning" ... gulping until the water went down the wrong way and he'd then throw up all his water. I wanted a way for him to get hydrated but control the flow. This has worked really well... but took about 2 days of training to show him where the water was coming from. Old dogs DO learn new tricks. At least for me, it’s been worth the extra time.

Tank was too small and not sturdy enough.

And are so much better than bown watering imo. My cats also use this. One puppy and for cats. I have 6 of these watering stations throughout house. My babies are all so much better hydrated and they get a convenient drink in whichever room the find themselves. Truly great buy

I have a 3 1/2yr old Shih Tzu who has been drinking from dispensers since she was a baby. I have a couple of very well made and inexpensive dispensers that are attached to walls around my house and have used similar standing ones like this one - So I have something to compare it too. I got this one so we can take it on overnight stays for our dog. The bag it arrives in says it's Made in Korea with high quality materials, but to my eye and hand, the plastic does not seem to be high quality.. The "bar/pole/stick" that connects to the base doesn't lock into place and doesn't fully insert into the base by twisting or pushing it softly and I am afraid to try to force it because it appears to be thin plastic that will certainly break. [Update: with much more force I was able to insert it fully but now I am unsure if it will be easy to take apart]. The water bottle is a good size but it doesn't disconnect from the part that attaches to the bar/pole/stick piece so you just are supposed to slide the bottle connector hook onto the bar/pole/stick and should easily be able to adjust (remove and replace it) it to different heights, however, I cannot for the life of me get it to disconnect without force. Again, I am afraid it will snap and break right off with any force. So basically one piece doesn't snap all the way without lots of force and the other piece doesn't disconnect without force They need to work on redevelopment of this product in order to work and withstand time. The other dispensers I have are very high quality materials and are all easy to disconnect to refill or clean, etc. This one is questionable.I wouldn't recommend this particular dispenser unless they can improve it. Both my dog and one of my cats are able to drink from it, no problem, so it does "work" it's just more fragile because of the materials it is made with.I hope my review has been helpful. If it gets better or worse over time, I will certainly try to update my review.
