It forces him to slow down and actually chew his food. The no-spill feature is the cherry on top. This has been a really good purchase so far. Took a star off because one of the corners came cracked. It holds a good amount of water and the ability to remove the bowls separately is helpful. It is pretty lightweight and mostly stays in place. I like that the height is adjustable as I have a smaller 25 lb dog and 2 big boys weighing between 70-90lbs. For the food bowl side, the capacity of food it holds is great. It holds the little guys amount of food perfectly but can also accommodate the big guys food portions.

This raised food and water dish for my dog is just what he needed. It is made of plastic, functions easily, provides sturdy raised dishes for your pet. I have an elderly dog that is having some trouble with the bending over to eat and drink, so this is ideal and has provided him with great comfort. The water side has a floating device that keeps the drinking water clean for your pet. The food side is set up with the "speed bumps" to slow your pet down while eating. The squeeze button sides let you lift or lower it to the desired height.
