I did buy this logic analyzer after researching for an affordable analyzer. The device not just was up to what I read before but truly exceeded my expectations. I was able to log so far I2C, UART, SPI with ease which are just few among multiple available protocols in the software (PulseView).Highly recommend it.

I knew it could be trouble with a USB interface. I had no idea. I downloaded the PulseView software and the driver installer into a Virtualbox Windows VM where I do my development. I could find no combination that installed a driver that the PulseView recognized. When I moved back to a real Windows machine, it worked out of the box.

...although I had trouble finding documentation to use it.I bought this when my HP16500 logic analyzer crapped out at the worst possible moment. The product doesn't do a fraction of what I would like, on the other hand I couldn't beat the price and delivery. There are many vendors selling this on Amazon--between all of them you should be able to piece together enough documentation to allow you to get it to do what you're hoping it will...which is primarily fundamental (non-boolean) triggering.
