New Autos have replaced the Cigarette lighter outlet with USB A and USB C plugs. This cigarette outlet was used for 12 VDC power to operate Radar Detectors and GPS Receivers. The USB connectors supply 5 VAC, which must be converted to 12 VDC. Also, my Corba Road Scott Detector uses an RJ-11 connector (Telephone Jack). This cable has it all, the UBS connector, the voltage converter, and the RJ-11 Jack. The cable is well made (although, I wish it was about half the length). It powers my road scout just fine.

This is a great alternative if you do not have a 12v socket or want to hardwire your radar detector. My R7 powers up and runs perfectly with this cord. Just wish the cord was a little longer so I could hide it a bit better, but other than that, it is perfect.

Nothing fancy, but works just fine. Powered my uniden R8. USB C to RJ11. I originally bought a cable w a coiled cable. This plain Jane cable is much better as it doesn't tug on the RJ-11 connector like the coiled wire does. Much less stress on the connectors and less wire weight. This was the lowest priced USB C to RJ-11 cable. Just fine. Let's see if it lasts, but for now I'm satisfied and can recommend without hesitation.

The "USB-C to RJ11 6 Ft Power Cord" works perfectly to power my Escort MAX 360c Laser Radar Detector from the USB-C outlet in my Cybertruck. One great feature is that the USB-C outlets turn off when the truck goes to sleep, so the radar detector isn’t constantly powered when I don’t need it. I was initially concerned about affecting the truck’s electrical system by hardwiring the radar detector, but this cord offers a simple and effective solution to power the detector.Highly recommend!

I order this power cord for my Uniden Radar in my car. The original power cord has some wear and tear on it and it would not work at all times so ordered this replacement and working back to normal again. Great replacement.
