This item is not built properly. The abrasive part is attached to the shank, off-center. What happens when You use them is only 1/2 (one side) of the abrasive part touches the thing that You are grinding. The result is it bounces along, doing the opposite of the desired effect. It certainly does not do what it is supposed to!Luckily, they are so brittle and cheap that they do not cause irrepairable damage to whatever You are working on, instead, they just crumble and fall apart. Using this part was a big dissappointment. I don't consider it a waste of money because I learned not to trust the manufacturer, and stick to well-built products.

I thought these would be like stone, but they’re not they’re soft and they disintegrate very quickly

I bought these to try to get a smoother finish on a surface I was grinding in the lathe. These are not rigid stones though, they are like a rubber compound with grit in it. They work fine for polishing, but weren't what I was looking for. Make sure you have the right size collet when using these too. They aren't an 1/8" shank.
