How to replace?
1. Drilling out the broken handle from the old head
2. If the handle eye is bigger than your hammer head, You should trim off a bit of wood on each side of the replacement handle shaft until it would tightly fit into your hammer head
3. Finally, you need to pound the handle into your old head, to make sure it tight fit your hammer

I bought this handle set because they included in the description the size of the end that goes in the eye of the hammer. I had to sand it down a little bit and was able to drive it on. I had an old wedge to drive in the end to hold it in place. Wish they had included wedges with the handles. It feels good and sturdy and kept an old hammerhead from being thrown out.

Bought these to replace/repair old, damaged claw hammer handles. These handles are ok quality-wise, a bit lightweight, but too small. Contrary to the description, these do not fit my 2 lb heads. Would fit a small ball pean or similar head. Not worth the effort to return so I’ll hang onto them until I find a use.

Way too small of a handle for a typical claw hammer replacement. These are meant for very small hammers
