Solid Stainless Steel Balls

To better understand each type of commonly used stainless steel and its properties, see the following descriptions.
- 440C Stainless Steel is a high carbon martensitic stainless steel. It has high strength, medium corrosion resistance, good hardness, and wear resistance
- 304 Stainless Steel is the most widely used stainless steel. It is austenitic stainless steel and has a higher corrosion resistance than ordinary steel.
- 316L Stainless Steel is also austenitic stainless steel. It offers higher corrosion resistance than 304.
- 201 Stainless Steel is the least expensive type of stainless steel. It is tough in cold environments but has lower corrosion resistance. It is the preferred choice for applications that require low cost, high durability, and no concern for exposure to corrosive elements.

I bought these to clean out the hard to reach spots of my wine decanter and they are perfect. They are a little larger than those that you would typically get for this purpose but I find that it gets the job done more quickly, and with a little less effort. Decanters (or any pitcher with a narrow opening) are notoriously difficult to get clean. Simply fill the bottom with about an inch of water and a few drops of dish soap then add these and swirl them around and they will scrub down the bits you can not get to! Word of caution: always add these last, as they are larger than standard for this purpose and while it is unlikely, you don't want them to break the container as they drop in. After I just pour them into a mesh strainer, rinse, air dry, and then store in a small tupperware until the next time.

I have used others that varied such as, 3.97mm, 3.96mm, etc.These are uniform so far all measuring 4.0mm.

Great for mixing paints in small bottles. The same product is sold by the paint manufacturers that I follow and they charge 4x as much in so me cases.

These are so magnetic, what a joke, seller should be sued for false advertising. Not stainless thats for sure.
