Bearing sleeves are also known as plain bearings or bushings. They are primarily used to guide or reduce friction in linear applications.
In high temperature and corrosive environments, cast brass bushings still allow high sliding speeds. They have good load capacity and wear resistance.
They provide reinforced housings for shafts or fasteners. They also help reduce bore size or replace worn original bushings on wheels.
Pressed in with a vise or punch. They can be held in place with adhesives or locking screws.
They are suitable for applications with rotary motion and self-lubricating properties for material lubrication.
Bearing sleeves are used in a variety of industrial equipment such as electrical equipment, household equipment, printing presses and machine tools.

Had to drill holes for almost 200 dowels and a couple of these were perfect. They are a nice weight and have adequate length to get nice straight holes. Titanium bits will wear these down if you aren’t careful, but that would be the case with any bushing sleeve that was weaker than titanium. Would also rather have the bushing get worn down than risk damaging my drill bits.

It's a bushing. Specs seemed good. Used to replace pilot bushing in the clutch of a 70s IH Cub LoBoy 154 which called for a 0.625id and 0.875od. I put bushing in freezer and heated up flywheel to install easily with a driver.
