Nitrile Butadiene Rubber O-rings

  • Good mechanical properties and high wear resistance NBR. Good resistance to many petroleum oils, greases, hydraulic fluids, alcohol, mineral oil, and grease.
  • Buna-nitrile is vulnerable to acetone, ethers, esters, ozone, sunlight, and weathering and should therefore not be used in ozone-generating electric motors, welding equipment, or in applications with exposure to UV light.

For those DIY-ers that get pressed out of shape at Manufacturers that sell equipment and make the size's of expendable repair parts this is a good thing. I measured the bad part with my handy-dandy calipers and found it @ Amazon. It would be helpful for OD, ID, Diameter mm measurements to be better. i.e. I started with a diameter in mm first and expected to get a listing of parts of varying OD but got a varied mix of stuff, not very user friendly.
