Product Description

Needle roller bearings are roller bearings with cylindrical rollers. Despite having a small cross-section, the bearings still have a high load-carrying capacity. Needle roller bearings are equipped with thin and long rollers, so the radial structure is compact, and their bore size and load capacity are the same as other types of bearings, the outer diameter is the smallest, which is especially suitable for support structures where the radial mounting size is restricted.

Drawn Cup Needle Roller Bearings

  • 2 types: open type and closed-end type.
  • They have no inner ring, the needle roller is in direct contact with the shaft surface.
  • With cage are suitable for high speed and heavy load, mostly used in machine tool gearbox or textile machinery.
  • Without cage are equipped with full needle rollers and are suitable for oscillating working conditions under heavy load.

I have been using these on the machines I service for about 2 years now, and have installed hundreds of them over that time. I have never had any issue with them allowing any slop to occur, they just do their job and and seem to last just as long as the name brand one way bearings.

I gave this a mid rating because I could not use them. The important thing to know is the "One Way Bearing'. This means they will only operate in one direction. If you try and turn these in the opposite direction of 'normal', it will lock up. I needed the bearing to operate in both directions. At least I learned of this distinction.

I used these bearings as part of a Buddhist prayer wheel installation so it was important to have a bearing that would allow the prayer wheel to spin a sufficient length of time. These bearings did that.

Mounted in a piece of wood and secured it with epoxy. Hold 1/4" router bit shaft so the bearing secure not can be removed easily.

Bought these to make some aluminium tool handles for deburring and countersinking. These work very well. Pressed into holes undersized by 0.001" and they hold the bits very well without slippage.
