Silicone Rubber O-Ring
- Noted for their ability to be used over a wide temperature range and for excellent resistance to ozone, weathering, and aging.
- Standard silicones are resistant to water (to 100°C), aliphatic engine and transmission oils and animal and plant oils, and fats.
- Silicones are generally not resistant to fuels, aromatic mineral oils, steam (short term to 120°C is possible), silicone oils and greases, acids, or alkalis.

Great replacement for the black gasket on the Rubbermaid Chug 32 oz. screw-cap. After 3 years of daily use the original black gasket was starting to fall apart. As with everything these days, the manufacturer doesn't offer replacement parts. With a caliper and a lot of measuring, I determined these to be the closest fit. The actual fit is very good, easy to put in and they don't fall out!

I’m not sure what this was originally designed for, but I have a few 17 oz and 23 oz water bottles by Swell and others that have o-ring seals that are disgusting. No amount of cleaning (including boiling them in water and soaking them in vinegar) could get rid of the old coffee smell. The caps are fine so I don’t want to replace them, just the seals. This item comes to the rescue.The 22mm size is perfect for the 17 and 23 oz caps. It stretches a little like a rubber band and provide an excellent seal. I did a few shake tests and nothing leaked out. It comes in a pack of 20 so they are truly disposable.I’m thrilled that I can finally throw away my old, darkened, smelly old Swell o-rings!!

It is a perfect match for my Ello water bottles. They have a flip up lid, thanks to this little silicone ring. So therefore it breaks after a while. I searched my local hardware store but couldn't find anything. I did try a black "o" ring for faucets but the rubber different and broke after a month or so. Hopefully these will last and that the company will keep making them. Ello didn't sell just the silicone ring, only a whole new lid which is a waste as the other is just fine, just the ring. So....it fits perfectly0therefore, it breaks every so often and needs to be replaced.

The oil and vinegar shakers I bought would leak around the threads, and when they were placed back in the cradle they’d make a mess on the counter. I used these and no more mess. I know they aren’t food grade, I washed them and used them.

I am using these for a bit of an unusual use...ie, I'm beading around them...the pattern specified this size, which was tough to find, but they look good and I'm hoping to get started soon.
