Started to rust after a few months so i had to coat it with a spray, i used this as a pulley system for a sun sailEdit: Seller contacted me and offered me a full refund, which im declining. The pulleys still work with a bit of rust and with the anti rust spray it should be fine. Adding a star for excellent customer service.

I have been trying to get more space available in my garage for my woodworking shop. I wanted to move out bikes to the yard shed, but didn't have a way to lift it and no room on the floor. I saw this pulley and thought about lifting the bike up with it. I ordered the set of two.They came with nice long screws and installed quickly to one of the roof joists in the shed. I then put the rope in the pulley and tied it to my bike and lifted it up. I put a cleat on the bench to tie the rope off to and, voila, my bike is now stowed in the shed and off the ground so I can still get the lawn tractor in there.I wanted stainless since the garden shed has a moisture issue. I ended up not needing the other one for my wife's bike, but may be adding some other things to the roof as well.These pulleys are nice and strong, good bearings, and a nice deep V that will accommodate ropes up to about 1/2 inch. I used a 3/8 braided nylon for the bikes.

I had ordered these to support a project that I am working on in my garage. I have a bike lift that I had created that would allow me to lift up a bike by grabbing the handlebars and the seat. I have another one that was made and sold on Amazon, but I wanted to create one for my wife’s bike. These pulleys are very robust and heavy duty. Solid stainless, so they are heavy and the bearings are very smooth. I was able to easy create the bike lift for my wife using these and some paracord. She loves the fact that it’s up and out of the way and she is able to drop it down when she needs it. It’s also a fraction of the cost of the other kit that I had installed for my other bike. There are a lot of potential uses for these. I hope that this helps.

These rollers are definitely two things:1. stainless steel2. not for high RPM applicationsIf you need them for fitness equipment, they are heavy duty and should hold up to whatever challenges they might face. Just make sure you attach them with bolts to another steel structure, and NOT to drywall with the included drywall anchors and screws (beefy though they may appear).Aside from the slight eccentricity that makes these rollers to wobbly to use for high-speed applications, there are a couple things about them I don't care for. The biggest one is the stamped brackets, which have rough, sharp edges that face toward your fingers at the base. The other thing is the tiny ridges left over from the machining process found on the V of the roller. Over time, I could see these acting like a file on vinyl coated steele cables. It's slight, and maybe would never be a problem, but it's worth noting.It's a lot of metal for $24, though, and should get you back to pumping iron in no time.
