Your cart is empty.This type of slide gate valve was originally designed for draining tanks and controlling shallow bodies of water like ponds. They also can also be used as shut off valves in low pressure or vacuum air lines. Please note that each valve size has an open and closed pressure rating. Because the plastic paddle can flex with flowing water they are not good for throttling water or trying to close the valve when water is flowing – thus the low mid flow cut off water pressure of ~6psi. These slide valves are sometimes referred to as “knife” gate valves and are a great alternative to ball valves in low pressure applications since they are full flow, quick opening, and are generally a much lower cost especially in larger sizes. Works well with soft debris like waste but hard debris can settle in the bottom of the valve seat/slot and prevent it from closing completely. They can easily be repaired by unbolting and replacing the seals or the valve body. The handles simply unscrew for easy replacement – if you do so be sure not to damage the valve shaft. Extension rods are available for remote actuation.

Bought this for my freshwater tank on our travel trailer. Went on easy. Works great. I like the firmness when sliding open and closed. No leaks at all. Fit perfect.

It is good, works. We had few issues installing keeping gasket secure to valve. Thinking that was our fault, not knowing “tricks of the tradeâ€.

I actually used this in a DIY dust collection system for my workshop (much cheaper than 4" blast gates and tubes and just as good for a small shop).It's been a few months and they've been working perfectly. The gates are very easy to open and close, even after having a lot of sawdust go through them. Provides an airtight seal and the gates were pre-lubricated to make them last longer and easier to open/close. The fittings were nice and tight and the body around the gate has been rugged enough to handle bumps and vibrations with no issues.

I use these gate valves on my rainwater collection system inside my garage to help control the flow of rainwater in 6 55-gallon barrels. I am very satisfied with them and will buy more if I add to my collection system.

This is a descent gate valve. Not the best not the worst. Moves free and is not sloppy. Build quality is a little on the “mass†produced side not refined.
