Compatible with Kohler 7000 Valve cover gasket for many models equipped with select engine models. Many of these engines use sealant for the valve cover. These gaskets replace the sealant. (Part number 25-597-07-s)
These gaskets are designed to be used only for units equipped with the Stamped Steel valve covers, The Plastic valve covers use a special o-ring in a groove cut into the valve cover, you are only receiving valve cover gaskets .

The design of this engine puts a steady drip of oil from both rocker covers onto the muffler, which is great for mosquitoes, but drives me batty. These are thin, but with some black RTV, stopped my leak, now I have to spray down with Off before I cut the grass. Have I really gained anything?

The gaskets I ordered came quickly, but both had obviously been installed and then removed. There were clear impressions at each mounting hole and two had split along the outside edge. Because one valve cover on my mower was leaking I went ahead and replaced the gasket with one of the used ones. That seems to have worked, but there's no excuse for providing USED and DAMAGED gaskets.
