well worth the price. they are securing very expensive kayaks. length is good for my setup. feels like good quality lock, latch , and webbing which is reinforced. key is larger than most, thick and works fine for me. only grip I have is at the end of webbing the wire ends are sticking out and they hurt, should be cut off short of end and then webbing stitched over.

Used to secure a cargo top on a long trip where we had an over night stay at a hotel. Works very well and seems very secure. Like other reviews, one cable is poking through on one strap but it’s not a problem in my book.

I purchased these tie downs several years ago and never thought much of it. On our most recent trip though, all of our camping equipment was stolen off of our cargo rack. Fortunately, the pelican box with the expensive items was secured with this strap. You can see in the photos where the thief tried to get the box but was unable to cut through the strap. I'll be buying more in the future for sure!

I bought this product to secure our boxes to the cargo carrier while traveling. The first set I received had the metal wire coming out of the strap at several points. Returned it thinking maybe it was a one off defect. I thought wrong.The Good: The idea of locking strapsThe Bad: 1. The design caused the straps to twist and coil up making it difficult to feed though tie down points2. The metal cable breaks out of the sheath and forms big loops on the outside (see picture) which eventually made it impossible to feed through the locking jaw. I had to cut the strap off when we got home.3. The wire ends poke through the tip creating a bunch of "needles" that will puncture your fingers every time (right side of the picture)The bottom line is that these straps are definitely not worth the money or headache they will cause you. An alternative would be a ratchet strap with the ability to put a lock through the ratchet. If someone wants to cut a traditional strap they can just as easily cut these security straps with wire cutters like I did to finally remove them.

Bought 2 set's first set easy peasey, next one easy peasey on third strap, 4th strap after 35 minutes , could still not get it to thread through buckle! So sent it back, other than that, seemed to work for me, I order another to replace defective one, seemed strap would not go through buckle no matter how many times I tried, then just gave up on it!! once third set arrived it was easy peasy again!

I am using these straps to lock down an outdoor cargo box... The straps are reinforced with metal wire... Both strap locks are set to the same key...A HUGE PLUS...I have had this for over a year outdoors and have not noticed any weathering or decay from being out in the elements

These straps are better than chains or other straps that I’ve seen in the past. As retired law-enforcement I have seen plenty of straps with locks and plenty of broken straps with locks where the item they were securing used to be.These things are stronger than I have seen, do what they’re meant to do, and their vendor is an incredible person.I lost a key. He’s replacing it for me, even though I had nothing to do with him it was my stupidity.I’ll be buying another pack after payday.If you have anything that you want strapped down and secured these are the things you want to have.

Had one of the locks jam and the lock cylinder fell out of the strap and then couldn't get the key out. I returned it as this happened for the first time using them.
