So this is a very high-priced mouthpiece cover for something made from cheap plastic, but I got it because my standard mouthpiece cover didn't fit well over my Vandoren Optimum ligature. Unfortunately, this really doesn't fit all that much better....and it costs way more. I wouldn't reorder.

People seem confused, despite the clear descriptions. This is just the cap, you need to get the ligature elsewhere if yours didn't come with one or you lost it.As a cap, it fits perfectly for the intended ligature, mouthpiece and reed.

I lost the silver cap that came with my optimum ligature. This serves as a replacement. I wish you could buy the silver cap but it seems like they are no longer selling that :(

picture is not accurate to what you are receiving, Make sure you read what you are getting for your money. This does not include the ligature. Also it is not chrome or silver it is black plastic

Fits so loosely over my Vandoren AL4 mouthpiece that it falls off. Finish and look are excellent, but the poor fit is a real let down. Perhaps it would fit better over a Vandoren ligature, it's a shame that a Vandoren mouthpiece falls out of the Vandoren cap.

This is glossy. Not like the original cap (matt) that came with the ligature. The original became sticky after a year. It seems this material won't "melt".
