Paired with Vandoren leather ligature, this mouthpiece took my playing to the next level! Originally I was using Yamaha 4C with Vandoren reeds, it had lots of tonality issues & no stability in the low range. Now with Vandoren reeds, mouthpiece & ligature my conductor noticed my improved solid sound!Been playing for 15 years & some players sound amazing without the “Big brand names†but for me I’m always a Vandoren guy through & through. Give it a try!

This clarinet is amazing. I play open metal mouthpieces on saxophone and this improved my tone drastically. I was using the clarinet’s standard issue mouthpiece. When I switched I immediately felt and heard the difference.

I got this mouthpiece to enhance my low c bass clarinet. Certainly 💯 the best bass clarinet mouthpiece I've used so far (I have another bass clarinet mouthpiece which is the mouthpiece that came with my bass clarinet). The other bass clarinet mouthpiece is pretty good but the Vandoren beats it! The sound the Vandoren makes is powerful, projecting and bassy! If you play the bass clarinet then please get this one!

It is a Great mouthpiece, with solid tone. I use B45 on Bb soprano clarinet as well.

I bought this for my daughter at her band director's suggestion. She LOVES it. The difference between the "stock" mouthpiece that came with her student-grade instrument and this seems to be night and day. Anyone listening to her can easily tell the difference.This is a great product for the money. It is not, however, a custom made mouthpiece made by a true artisan who watches you play and suggests customizations for you based on your mouth, how you hold your instrument, breath control, etc. However, if you don't want to drop $800 - $1500 for your mouthpiece, this is a GREAT value and a GREAT product.

I had not played for fifty years and borrowed an old Bundy bass clarinet. As the old skills came back, this was a marked improvement over the Bundy mouthpiece. Later I bought a professional Buffet bass clarinet,from Bulgaria, fifty years old. The original Buffet mouthpiece is easier to play and more responsive than the "new and improved " one. Who'ed have guessed.

Have this piece for soprano clarinet, so I knew what I wanted. Good projection, easy through the clarion register. Some adjustment needed for the altissimo, but the mouthpiece has noticeably helped get them out pianissimo to fortissimo. Great mouthpiece for a doubler.
