I had no issues installing this, the tab to secure to the base seems a little long but I was able to fit it without modifications just applying a little force to straighten the screw, word of advice remove the tray before removing the hoses unless you have the right tool for the job

Very nice to be able to pump gas without gas pumps popping off.

My 2005 Tahoe wouldn’t take fuel at the pump . I started with the charcoal canister here . It fit fine but after installing , I still couldn’t get gas to go into the tank . The gas pump would cut off sooner than it would with my old canister , I thought it probably was something else . I replaced the purge valve and the purge value solenoid next . Still wouldn’t work so I dropped the tank and cleaned or replaced all the vent lines . Still no luck so I decided to start unplugging hoses and see where the problem was (should have done that to start with) . It turned out this new canister was the problem . I went to auto zone and put a good canister on and it solved everything. I thought it’s a box of charcoal so it couldn’t be that bad, but turns out you get what you pay for . Auto zone was $173 and Amazon was $36 . I didn’t save anything , I actually spent more buying other parts I didn’t need and doing more work than required. It would definitely be worth just spending the money on a good product and not buying this item on here .

Receive the carbon filter very quickly and it was the exact match for the old one on my car. Still waiting to find out if it’s solved the problem by allowing filling out the gas tank without the gas nozzle, clicking off every half gallon.

The smaller vent nipple would not go into the vent line. There is no chamfer on the end of the nipple, so it will not slide over the o-rings in the vent line. Before you install, file down the end to form a chamfer, then use sandpaper to polish up the end and reduce the diameter some. Also use some oil or lube to help slide the line onto nipple. Took me almost 1 hour just for this one small vent line.
