My husband is very particular about belts. Normal belts wear out within a few months or less for him, so I was very hopeful this was real leather but also highly skeptical it would be authentic. Sure enough, it seems to be REAL, GENUINE leather! We ordered one size larger than he needed (based on other reviews for American buyers), so with that variation, it fit just right. I was also impressed with the overall quality of it. It's thick, seamless, blemish-free, and has high quality stitching and a beautiful shade of brown. My only regret over this item is the quantity--should have ordered multiple in different colors.

Six months update: After hanging outside in the weather for 6ish months, the tanning smell is mostly gone. The belt is a cowhide thick belt that works well with my jeans. The smell as delivered was literally unbearable around humans. I'm not hyper sensitive to smells - exsmoker who loves blue cheese, vinegar and anchovies. Still miss my cigars. Raised my score from 1 to 4. Would be a 5 but they ticked me off by shipping such an obnoxious product.Prominent leather tanning smell. Too smelly to put in my dresser drawer so hung it on door knob but the smell quickly filled the room. Hung it outside on Nov 3rd. Today is 11/28 - nearly 4 weeks later - several rains - hot sunny days - freezes. I can still smell it when I walk near it. Outside on my deck!On the positive side, the smell has reduced maybe 75%. I have to be within 5ish feet to smell it now. However, wearing it would still put me in a cloud of industrial chemicals that would quickly fill a room. I'm guessing another month may age out most of the smell but I don't know if that will be enough to make it usable. Maybe 2 more months...The smell is leathery but should not be confused with a 14 yo boy's first cologne. First, nobody, not even a teenager, would mistake the belt smell for too much cologne. It does NOT smell like teen spirit. Second, a teenager who dips himself into a cologne vat would lose his aroma in a couple of days. This belt has real staying power.Obviously, there was some incompetence at the leather tanning stage and again at the belt making stage and again at the packaging stage. They all failed quality assurance. That many incompetencies point directly at production management. In addition, marketing management has been aware of previous reviews that mentioned the smell and didn't care. This stuff is still for sale.My advice to you is to put Vitan on your "do not buy from them" list and watch for them to resurface in Amazon under a new name.Unusable product. Unscrupulous company.

This belt really does seem well made. It is a solid piece of leather, instead of some thing that's layered or covered. It's nicely constructed, looks good, and doesnt smell strongly at all.It looks good with jeans or shorts. I used the sizing guide and ordered 2" larger thany pants / shorts waist size and it's a great fit. I went back and ordered another belt in black because I was happy with this one. It isn't super wide, so it fits on some of my shirts that don't have wider belt loops like jeans so (but it's not a narrow belt by any means).In short, I recommend this belt. It's nice for the money.

Very good quality and well packaged. The belt came with a protective case to prevent it from getting damaged in shipping which was nice. I liked it so much I purchased a second one in a different color. The fit is as expected. Holds up my pants and is stiff enough I can use it with a IWB holster. It is not stretchable. Looks as good as other more expensive belts of a similar design.

Strong, good looking clasp; stitched 2 layers. Wide for more support of some of the jeans I have with minimal belt loops.

So far so good.Holes are big enough for the prong to go in. Belt is stiff.Perfect fit, I measured my waist before ordering, There is room for expansion if need to be.Would order again if I need a replacement, Recommended.
