This is the Iron on type. I have some fishing shirts that I bought at a large sporting good store where the collar has second layer of material that folds under the regular collar. This is to really cover my neck in the sun by flipping up the collar and then flipping up the second layer. The shirt did come with Velcro on the back to hold the collar in place, but the collar ends would come undone and stick out. The Velcro Iron-On's worked perfectly to hold the ends in place and come undone when I need to use the second collar, without having exposed stitching in the collar. I do not use the second collar all the time and have held up well. They have gone through many washing's without any peeling off. I have also used them on cargo shorts that have button pockets as well so because I don't like to use the buttons. Since these pockets get a lot more usage, I have seen where the Velcro tape has peeled. So I do need to provide some hand stitching to hold them down better. So it depends on what your application is going to be as to how durable the tape will hold up. As for me, they fit the need.

Ive been making little polar fleece pockets for dog training; sew on Velcro was not practical because of the stretch in the fleece. But this stuff worked GREAT; the adhesive sets hot, but not so hot that it compresses and/or melts the fleece. Great solution where sewn application is not he best option, even if it is pricey.

Ok, so I had to put some velcro on a 90/10 cotton polyester blend of thick fabric. First attempt, I would not fully adhere (could still start to peel it off with a light pull and saw the adhesive stretching). As the instructions stated, I ironed it again. This time, it just came right off as if there was no adhesive on it. It looked as though it just soaked right into the fabric. So, I cut another length and placed it right over the adhesive imprint, steamed and ironed on high for 90 seconds again and now it appears to have worked. I think that some fabrics may wick too much of the adhesive away from the velcro, in which case you may need to cut a second set of strips and try again. So... plan to use twice as much as you normally would for thicker fabric??? I can now see the glue easily from the outside and it seems to have set. Will update if it falls off after wash. If I don't update, it worked as advertised (kind of)...

This stuff is wonderful. I love that it's Iron-On versus sew on because I find sew on very difficult to get on easily and straight. This Iron On is easy to apply, stays on and the price here is far better than in the retail stores. The directions say to steam iron for 90 seconds and it's really important you do that or else it won't stay attached to your fabric and you must let it cool completely so it firmly afixes to the fabric, but once it's there and cool, you're in business. I use a lot of this product and will continue to come back to this seller because of the pricing.

This VELCRO Brand for Fabrics | Iron On Tape for Alterations and Hemming | No Sewing or Gluing product works great. We needed it for my husband who had surgery. It kept his clothes together and made it easier to put them on and take them off.

I'm not super big into DIY but I'm not a total fool either and wow, this made me feel like I didn't know what I was doing. I spent maybe 30 minutes trying to get this to work and just when I thought it did, it came off after the first "test" ... I was going to use this to adhere some DIY bench cushions that I made but it's not working well at all. I'm just going to use safety pins instead. If you're not super crafty and well-versed in things like this, I would not recommend. Instructions were kind of confusing as well.

Easy to apply, I decided to add some velcro to my everyday backpack that I use for work, gym, travel, everything. My wife was so impressed that I am going to buy another roll so she can do the same for her backpack!

After very carefully following instructions I found that the only thing they clung to was each other. Totat waste.

Very efficient Velcro..I used it to replace the one of a dog jacket..Just be aware that you will need to use a steam iron to strengthen the sticky part.Easy and quick.
