Order a new outside hdl lock assembly-t lid from Yinlowa, Save hundreds by purchasing this rear hatch handle part and replacing it yourself :)
81260-2V000 electrical switch assembly can help you open the latch much easier and smoother.
The swap is super easy for a non professional. Pop off the trunk cowling, loose in three screws, disconnect the molex connector pop out the assembly replace the switch and you're good to go. Rear latch works perfectly again after simple installation within minutes!

The dealership wanted $1200 to install one of these, so I bought this here on Amazon and was very happy to find it was fairly easy to put in. I had my car in for another issue and pointed out that their quote for this part and installation was outrageous. For under $20 and a half our of time, I saved $1180 ! Who cares if it's not a Hyundai factory part. It does exactly the same thing !

Put this on in May and less than a year it has locked up and will not work properly. Do not waste your money unless you are replacing to get rid of the car.
