I used this to help seal broke off exhuast from muffler, then put a clamp over it. These stuff will NOT stick to the metal, or in my case it didn't. But if you double up on it or more it will stick to itself tightly and works best that way. So far no issues and I'll keep using, until I have no exhuast left haha

Use this in an emergency because the flex pipe broke on my sprinter van. This was falling off within 5 miles of the repair. Just go to your local hardware store and buy a roll of metal duct work tape. It works just as well if not better and you get more for a lower price

I'm buying this product for the second time because it works and is easy to apply. This exhaust repair tape, unlike so many other types of exhaust system repair tape, has an adhesive backing, allowing you to apply the tape and mold it onto the pipe or muffler and seal the leak. The tape is very thin aluminum, and if you overlap it enough will take care of small exhaust leaks effectively. It will not repair a major pipe rust-out or anything, but it is versatile and will take care of small non-manifold leaks. My only complaint is that the aluminum is a little TOO thin, and it will break sometimes during application. Not a big deal, but a gauge higher thickness would be worth paying a little extra for.I used this tape to cover a small exhaust leak on my flex pipe, which I intended to replace but now, I don't think I'll need to do that. I am buying more tape to finish off the rest of the flex pipe because what I did has held up so well. Compared to other exhaust tapes I've used this one is no-brainer easy to use. I've bought tapes that are not adhesive, flimsy plastic that wrap loosely and don't fix anything, or are fiberglass and you have to insert the tape into a resin pouch for five minutes and wrap it loosely around your problem area and then wrap a wire around that goopy mess. And you need to wear gloves because the resin will burn your skin, and avoid sparks and use the product in a well-ventilated area because the resin is explosive...and after all that it doesn't work at all. If you have a small exhaust leak anywhere in the exhaust system that is a pipe or muffler or catalytic converter, use this product. Just buy a few extra (it's inexpensive) to make sure you cover the leak well enough. Also, when you are applying, don't remove all the wax-paper backing before you apply. It is much easier if you separate the wax-paper while you are applying the tape. Also, this product is paintable using a high-heat engine paint that you can buy at any auto parts store, which I did and which helps (if you buy black paint) hide the repair but also to protect the repair. Use the paint liberally on a cool pipe. Don't apply this tape or the paint on a hot surface. You will need to remove flaky rust from the point of application, use a wire brush, but you don't need to go crazy and get anything clean to the metal. Just clean off the loose rust. The whole repair, once you get the car up high enough to crawl under it, is going to take you maybe a half-hour. Just make sure you have the car safely up on jacks and that it cannot roll. If you buy and use paint, make sure the area is well-ventilated and don't make any sparks or smoke. Spray paint fumes in a garage - even with the door open (on a humid or rainy day especially) WILL explode.

I used this product to cover a 1 inch diameter hole in the exhaust pipe of my 2006 Ford Explorer. It was forward of the muffler, so it made lots of noise. I was facing replacement of the tail pipe and muffler, which is not a cheap proposition. I cut the tape into 3 foot sections and because of the sticky backing it was very easy to apply it securely over the hole. The sound went back to normal and I saved hundreds of dollars. Very happy with this product. The hardest part was getting my big body under the car,

The thrust coming from the muffler shredded this to peices but the hole was pretty big.

I had just replaced my exhaust 18 months ago, but because of Covid and barely driving, it rusted through! When inspection time came I bought this, cleaned the pipe, wrapped it over the hole and drove to get inspection. Held fine for a few miles of driving, probably will hold fine a lot longer!Don't use this to connect 2 pipes or where it will experience vibration shear, it's definitely not for that.

Muy mala calidad, se despega con el calor a la primera encendida, en un escape de moto, y deja mucha arruga a la hora de pegarla.
