Be sure to get the right buffing wheels as most on Amazon are too small shaft diameter to fit the buffer shaft. If you get the wrong buffer wheels they are designed for a spike shaft and not a threaded shaft. Be ready for some vibration if not mounted to a very sturdy surface.

The thing has plenty of power and runs fairly smooth.. You need good quality wheels.. and you have to use the right kind of polishing compounds.. Make sure you hold your piece TIGHT.. and always approach the wheel from underneath.. I polished a small piston from an old air compressor.. It was a dark grey, with some very dark spots, but fairly smooth especially on the sides.. some 1500 grit sand paper took off most of the dark spots and the Vevor buffer shined it up really nice.. the piston rings were black, and after only a minute or two they look like chrome.. The pictures show how reflective it is now.. I wish I'd taken some before shots but I missed that opportunity. You can see the words of the newspaper reflected on the sides, and you can see my finger reflected on the top..

The buffer wheels were not in the box, otherwise it works well.

Worked great. Was not a fan of the buffing wheels that it came with. Used another brand of wheels. Did a perfect just buffing out motorcycle engine cases. 👌

Best price on a Buffer Grinder I found, so I order it... by mistake. There is another that's 20 more and has FREE returns. So, within 5 minutes I Canceled this order, but the seller said they shipped it already. My order was at 6am, who ships in 5-minutes at 6am and can’t cancel?I guess they do, because the Buffer shows up so fast, I had to duck.I was a ready teddy to send it back, but I ran it with no buffing wheels and it was smooth as silk and it ran cool, the bearings also.It says DO NOT MOUNT anything other than a buffing wheel, which my intension all along was to mount a grinding stone wheel and some 3M Buff and Blend pads. This is NOT made for what I'm doing... but I was determined to try.I tried 4 different Grinding Stone Wheels and they all wobbled and vibrated. The Flanges that hold the Wheel in place are NOT true, but don't need to be if you are just using the buffing wheel and don't mind a wild vibration.I found a great Spacer/Flange Kit on the interweb, PRYME (Prymemx) for about 16 bucks. When I used their Flanges the heavy Grinding Stone Wheel and the Buff and Blend Wheels run so smooth, it's like running with no wheels mounted at all. Smooth and quiet.Don't do this at home kids, as there are no shields... but man this Grinder (Buffer) works Bob and Sue.I am 100% happy! 😊

I am having stall tactics thru seller. It seems this doesn't have adjustable RPM and therefore way too fast and dangerous to use as a buffer. Polishing metal might work okay, but when they say it does plastic....lolol....VERY CAREFULLY!!! And it says jewellry...well...sort of...the metal part....don't touch that precious stone though.
