Was able to remove dana 44a pinion bearing from 2004 wj jeep grand chrokee using one black cup and one yellow cup. Two black cups were too small, and two yellow cups were too big. One of each was perfect. Odd but perfect.

I’ve only used this once, in fact it’s the first time I’ve ever used a clamshell bearing puller, but it worked exactly as expected and seems very well built. Compared to the prices I’ve seen for other pullers, this one is great. I’m sure I’ll get years of use from it.

Used it to re-gear a Dana 60, worked great on the big pinion bearing and carrier bearings. This tool removed the bearings smoother and easier than it was to install them in my press. Will be using it to regear an AAM 11.5 soon. I do not anticipate any problems. Comes with a nice caddy/storage stand. The included instructions were okay, but I would also recommend watching a video on YouTube.

This bearing separator is one of a kind it takes out a bearing without ruining it and you could reuse the bearing if it’s necessary or do you just want to replace them this is one of the best tools I’ve bought in my life it’s not a cheap one but it gets the job done and that’s what’s important that you don’t hurt yourself trying to take out a bearing and sometimes you’re trying to take it out with a tool that might make a part of the bearing when you’re breaking it hit you and hurt you this will take out the bearing without making any damage to the bearing and more and so to yourself the safest way to work they recommend us Mr. Raymond Cordova

I used to pull bearings on Dana 44 rear end carrier for a 98 jeep Wrangler. It did not fit well and ruined the shims because the shims sit underneath the bearings instead of on the outside. After hammering the clamshells together is when it messed up the shims but it did pull the bearing off without damaging the bearing. So it seems to work great unless you have a shim setup like this jeep so be aware on older Dana 44s you will have to replace the shims after using this tool. I think it was still worth the price and will be able to use it on other cars.

Didn't work on Dana 80 pinion. Otherwise I've used it several times even works on most midshaft bearings for drive shaft. Overall happy

If you are pulling a pinion bearing and want to reuse your bearing, this is a must have tool. It will pull your bearing and keep it in really great shape. I highly recommend!

Total garbage. Plug is does not fit inside bore of tool. Was not able to press inner pinion bearing off one of the most common GM differentials, tool would not slide down the gear far enough to catch the clamshell. After spending over $100 for this junk it was back to cutting bearings off like ive been for 25 years.

These pullers make life easier but I could not justify the expensive brand one. Glad I bought this as it’s the most affordable one out there and I am not disappointed with the quality. Every part seems well made and finished - the clamshells seem strong and offer a number of bearing diameters to choose from. This is the one to consider if you need this type of bearing puller.
