Used this yesterday to core two 11.5" retaining walls. Solid as a rock and the motor run very smoothly. I bought it because I needed to core a 7" hole and my Hilti DD130 will not core larger than 6". It's not as comfortable to use as the Hilti but it ran smooth and didn't bind. Best $300 I've spent in a long time. I thought it had died on the first hole but I had been pushing it hard and it tripped the reset on the side opposite of the switch. Slowed down a little (I'm impatient) and it worked great.I would recommend spraying some WD-40 on the post before use. It moved smoothly on the first hole but for the second there was some resistance to move on the post. After a little oil it was smooth again. For the price I expected it to be flimsy but it was more solid than the Hilti.

I've used this to core drill 2 different 4" holes through basement slabs. Works great!A few tips...3/8" concrete anchor bolts, two of them, and large outside diameter washers to match anchor this drill perfectly through the middle slot, without need to really anchor the outside 4 corner bolts. I had to anchor into a concrete floor with heated flooring (per plumbing) embedded in the concrete. My thermal camera allowed me to see there was no viable option to use the 4 corner anchors!Listening to the drill is key in preventing it from surging, pulling close to 4k watts and tripping breakers. Go easy. Go slow. Use water.Couldn't find a connector for the water line, but didn't try hard. Used a garden hose both times, worked great.Don't NOT anchor this drill down. Don't be dumb. It is powerful and will hurt you if you don't know what you're doing or don't heed advice!Don't plan on relying on instructions. They suck. You need a little bit of mechanical knowledge to figure this out, but not much.Don't plug into a low amperage extension cord. It will cause issues!

I used this drill for a 4.5" hole to vent a cold storage room... 8" thick concrete. The drill was simple to figure out for the most part but a few of the parts don't really make sense and the instructions were basically useless. The drill comes with a QD water attachment but no connector for a garden hose. I bought a "Shibuya Garden Hose Quick Connect" and it fit perfectly and allowed me to use my garden hose without issue.I didn't get a chance to use the included diamond drill bit so I can't speak to the quality of that. But overall for the same price as a rental core drill this was perfect for a single hole. I don't know if it would hold to up repeated use on a construction site but for the DIYer using it a few times it was perfect.

Kicks off as soon as started due to in-rush current. If you buy this better but a soft start motor controller.
