Chances are, if you have a plastic hose reel, unless the entire water connection assembly is made of steel, it will crack at some point and start to leak. Especially if you keep it outdoors all year long, which, let's be honest, of course you do. The sun's UV rays alone will age the plastic and it will crack. This hose reel is made of stainless steel. That's really all you need to know. It does exactly what it looks like it does. The hose connection is tight and doesn't leak with a proper o-ring, the welds are quite decent, and the only plastic pieces are the wheels. The wheels are fine, but don't expect to win a street race with this thing, they're just held in place loosely with a washer and a cotter pin, and they will wobble a bit. Will it rust? Maybe. Sometimes cheap stainless will rust after a while. But for an item like this I don't really care. Adds character. Plus, you could always just spray it with some rust preventative if that ever becomes an issue.Assembly is fine if you've ever used a wrench. I wouldn't want to tackle it without a 10mm socket wrench or nut driver. A plumber's adjustable wrench won't cut it here, trust me.

I am disabled and in a wheelchair with some physical limitations. However, I was able to assembly with easy! All of the parts are labeled, surprisingly light weight yet very sturdy when completely assembled, and comes with step by step instructions. Rolls with easy and perfect for little old ladies to big ole muscular men. Well worth the price!! Very Happy with this purchase!!!

Went together fairly easy. Make sure you tighten the bolts down good not like that lady who posted the video with them all loose complaining about how loose everything was lol. My only complaint is that it didn't include a short hose to go from the reel to the faucet. I switched it so the reel handle is on the right instead of the left. Looks to be decent quality, welds are a little ugly though.

Like others have noted there is an issue with the hose connection on the drum not having enough room to connect the hose too as it is smack up against the spoke on the drum. This took me several hours to put together, so I'll have to find a solution to fix the connection issue because I'm not spending several more hours to dismantle it and then try and get the heavy box into the car to return-not happening! It seems like a strong hose reel and pretty sturdy. No tools are included only the screws and no real directions but if you've ever put anything together at all you can figure it out, just make sure you the right tools, which was part of my problem why it took so long to put together. This seller should stop selling this item if they won't fix the problem with the hose connection on the reel! Would not buy from them again!

I am a disabled senior and typically have difficulty walking around or gardening in our backyard. I bought the hose reel cart to help me getting the hose around the yard to water all the plants. This cart more than fulfilled my expectations. The 4 wheels are heavy duty and strong enough to stabilize the weight of the hose wound onto the drum. An added advantage for me is the handle - I can push the whole cart around as easy as if it was my walker. My only complaint is the assembly directions; they leave a lot to be desired. Yet, we were still able to assemble the cart easily by studying the pictures and reasoning out the directions.

First off the price was very attractive compared to others similar to this reel . I decided to chance the purchase and order this one. It arrived safe and sound with no missing hardware . The directions are ok and common sense would be only needed for assembly which took me about 35 minutes. I used a 10mm combination wrench, a small electric impact with 10 mm socket and a plain flat head screwdriver. The welds look crappy , paint was fine , everything went together very easily . I can see this rusting easily though if left outside like most people intend to do as there are multiple places for rain water to enter the frame tubing , I used electrical tape to "seal" some of the areas on the handles but water will easily get into all the areas where the screw holes are. I suggest drilling some small holes on the very bottom of the frame to left water run out. The handle area is not tight fitting and wobbles some no matter how tight you tighten the bolts .I have 200 feet of very heavy 1 inch contactor grade hose on it. And it handles the weight easily. If and when the hose rotaing/seal area wears out ,like they all do regardless of the price paid, i can easily re make that area better and use the rest as is. I rate this as "good" for the price I paid.

The package turned up absolutely beaten and battered and half the parts are missing. Strongly recommend looking else where, it’s ridiculous that a package turns up and so much is missing.

Was looking for a sturdy and dependable hose reel. Found this and was able to assemble fully by myself. (Yes, I am a woman). The instructions are pretty clear and all parts were there. It is currently holding a 200 foot hose. The only set back there is , if I really wanted to find something wrong, is the fact that maybe the wheels could have brakes or a locking device. Very impressed with this purchase

Overall quality is okay but not great.* Welding is cheap, while it's not held together with just spot weld, parts are welded only on one side instead of both* Paint is a bit scuffed* Wheels' cotter pins are the split / straight type which could work itself out unless you twist themWhile it's not hard to put together, it's annoying. When you put the hose barrel part together, you will need someone with small hands to hold the nylon nut while screwing in the bolt. The space is so tight that you can't really use a wrench to hold the nut, I end up using a spinner tool with a socket adapter (think screw driver handle but 1/4 adapter).Lastly, it would be nice to have some rubber foots to clip on the front part of the cart so it won't slip. I may end up 3D printing some.
