The manual retractable awning features robust steel tube support, offering excellent strength and stability to withstand rain, wind and sun in non-extreme weather. The top is reinforced with aluminum tubes to provide firm support, preventing sagging or collapsing.
The twist-lock support rods can be adjusted in height of 86" to 122" to fit various door and window. The crank handle allows for easy angle adjustment of the retractable awning from 0° to 90°, making it convenient to expand or retract.
No need for drilling! Our awning sunshade shelter uses snap-on connectors and screw fixation for straightforward assembly. We recommend a two-person installation for efficiency.

I gave it 5 stars because it's really a pretty nice awning. The install went good but 2 people make it easier for certain steps. It's only been up a day so sturdiness is yet to be determined. The fabric itself is very nice. The instruction book is a bit vague but if you have any DIY capability it's not too bad. One thing that wasn't clear was the attachment to adjust the legs height. No detail for how far to screw on a retaining nut. I went only far enough to have threads past the nylon lock nut. That seemed to work so all is good.

You have to be a bit of an engineer to put it together because it did not come with written instructions, only some vague pictures and the pieces are not labeled. It took me about an hour putting it all together by myself but once I got it put together and got it set outside my sliding glass door on my back patio, I love it. It's the entire width of my 10 ft patio. It does collect a little bit of water on top when it rains, but you can stand underneath it and push it up to dump the water. Even through a thunderstorm it stayed in place. It even came with an extra piece of shade cloth that attaches with velcro to the fringe on the main shade and hangs down to further block the afternoon sun. Much more sturdy than I expected for the price. The only negative is that it only came in gray and I would have preferred a cream color to match my house and it does hang pretty low when fully extended. But for the price you can't beat it. It's sturdy and it does its job well. Highly recommended!

One unexpected instance {canopy retracted} with a gust of wind and it bent one of the rods and stripped the bolt out. It is now useless and a complete waste of money. This is far too expensive for only 4 months of use. Extremely disappointed and upset about money wasted. There are way better options out there, don't make the same mistake I did.

My bedroom window gets all the afternoon sun so my room gets terribly hot. I needed a shade but still wanted to see outside. This is absolutely perfect! I initially had to get help to but the top bar up, but other than that it's fairly easy to assemble. The bars are easy to unhook, so I can put the shade all the way down to block my window or I can crank it up in different positions to block the sun and still see my yard.

I wanted to like this product. It looked really nice on my house but any gusts of wind over 10 miles an hour and the awning came down. It was a hassle to roll out every time I wanted to use it. It is flimsy and broke easily.

To start, the actual material is very nice and thick but, there were pieces missing, there were no instructions just very sparce pics and there were insects in the box which I know sometimes hard to control but, needless to say needed a shower as soon as I was done. If it wasn't such an effort to take apart, rebox and send, I would have probably returned it.

This was a little tricky to assemble, but there are videos online that help. I definitely needed a second person to help put it up. So far it has really helped shading our bedroom windows that get really hot during the summer.
