The belt came off when I first started it but it was an easy fix. After that it's been working fine and is a decent product for the price tag. As someone who loves pottery as a hobby but does not want to spend an arm and a leg on professional equipment this was just perfect. Recommend for beginners.

I like this little wheel. The motor is strong enough and it's very easy to operate. It's a bit awkward to move, as three edges are just the edge of the sheet metal body and a bit sharp. It's also pretty short, so you'll want a couple of cinder blocks to set it up on if you want to throw seated on a stool or chair. It's a smaller wheel, so you probably won't be able to throw more than ~3 pounds at a time, but that suits me. It also doesn't accept bats. If you want to make/use bats, you'll either have to drill holes and use pins, or maybe try using velcro. It's been nice to have for me to practice the skills I'm learning in class, and to test out different techniques, even left-handed ones.

I'm an art teacher and we've always had 3 big kick wheels to try to figure out how to get 25+ kids on every trimester. I actually didn't use them at all last year because it just wasn't feasible. So I found this electric wheel on Amazon for less than $200 and I asked my administration for one and they got me three! So far, the electric wheels are great. They are a few inches shorter than other electric wheels I'm used to so I did also order shorter stools to use with them. They have been working great in my classes these first few weeks. They don't come apart for cleaning, but that's not the end of the world. Just bring a bucket and a sponge to the wheel.

This is a nice wheel and I'm getting good use from it. There is a bit of "you get what you pay for" here; it might need a bit more power as I can stall the wheel (but I shouldn't be using that much force on the clay anyway), and I can see why a pedal would be nice (I think that's an option, but I didn't get it). But for a first wheel, you can't beat this price for a nice sized basic wheel. I expect to be using this for quite a while.

The speed knob broke after 1 one use. I am no longer able to control the speed at which the wheel moves. It's literally stuck at one speed. Buyer beware it's not a quality pottery wheel. Save your sell stress & time and splurge for a higher quality wheel. Also, the customer service is non-existent.. so if yours is a lemon-like mine good luck getting tech support or any support from the seller or amazon

Not a high-quality item, but worth it if you don't want to spend a grand for something you are going to use for a month or two. Just enough power to work some clay. Had two problems with this, the control knob was loose when i went to adjust the speed of the wheel. Had to take off the knob to tighten the bolt, and fed ex said they left this on my doorstep at 245 pm. They left it on my doorstep at 715. I went for 5 hours cussing at a thief that didnt exist.

I love it! It's easy to use. I've made 10 or more since it arrived. I've use it everyday since it has arrived. I also use it with airdry clay & I had no idea that there was a difference in clay honestly 😅 Anywho this is my very first pottery wheel. I love everything I've made so far. Hope you enjoy yours too.N.I.

Although my daughter enjoys this wheel very much when she opened it the day of her birthday the on switch was broken, instead of returning it I fixed it myself so she could start to enjoy her gift immediately. Other than that it’s Great!
