The stand assembly directions are a joke, but I figured it out. It is sturdy. The planer feed table needed slight adjustment. Stand and planer seem to be well-built.Before planing, watch a video on adjusting feed tables. Front and back must be perfectly level before use!The feed rollers are a bit slippery, and wood sometimes needs to be pushed through. When planing, don't lower the blades a full turn of the handle, only turn the handle downwards a half-turn. Nice and easy, don't try to plane too much at a time.Overall I'm quite happy with it. The manual is the usual mangled Chinglish, but does the job.

After assembling the stand and the Planer, the infeed and outfeed table's height is only 24" above the floor or just above the knees. This is too low unless you can grab a folding chair and operate this planer from a seated position. This is OK for small pieces but feeding an 8' long piece of material means you need to bend over and walk the piece into the planer and then walk it out, also in a hunched over position. The Planer itself (sans stand) is designed to be benchtop mounted. It says so right in the item description: "...13 inch benchtop Planer...." If the bench is 32" high, the feed in deck will be at 36", a more comfortable operating position than with the supplied stand. Also, the item suffered freight damage with a cracked base in the left front corner. It's a 70 pound (32 kg) product so not easily managed by a delivery driver. The carton is 2 ply cardboard but the Styrofoam is very thin so damage can occur. Because I am a senior, repackaging and returning the whole product was too daunting a task so I am using the planer on the 24" tall stand. Not the best arrangement for this old man. This manufacturer makes a few models, some with variable speed cutting knives. They have 2 blade or 3 blade cutting knives. The 3 blade increases the number of cuts per inch by 50% for the same feed speed so be vigilant checking the specifications. More knives means a smoother finish. Finally, the specifications on the Amazon site has incorrect measurements. The image from the Amazon site says the product, on the stand, is 27.4†tall. The product is actually 37†tall to the top of the planer and 40†to the top of the thickness adjuster crank handle.

This is a great price for a planer. The wood came out smooth and even. When you're taking the level down, only go down half a turn. A full turn still worked, but I could tell that the machine was struggling.

The stand that comes with this planer is only 21-1/2 inches high. The planer worked fine.

First off fantastic unit. Assembling the base took about an hour, the instructions were piss poor for telling what went where. Aside from that I tried it out on a two inch slab of curly maple. It couldn't do a full turn off the handle when attempting to plane. It stalled out and popped the breaker that was built in. Half turn and it seemed happy enough. DeWalts planer can handle a full turn on this kind of wood but costs a lot more. This unit functions does the job is quieter then the DeWalt version and has a dust port that can be hooked up to a shop vac with a fernco adapter from home Depot in the plumbing section. All in all I'm not dissatisfied with the unit. Other major draw back was a 13" peice won't go threw. Gas a cutting board that got stuck in the middle and had to save down the sides just a little bit.
